Not Quite Sold On The Ds Yet?

I hope for a US/EU release of Nintendogs. It would be so cool screaming at my dogs in the bus to obey me and slapping them for shitting on the carpet.

it is coming but it's called Puppy Times. grrrr.

I can't be the only one that thinks Metroid and Wario Ware look poo. I mean Wario Ware has like 4 games dressed up in different clothes 100 times. Just look at the nose picking one, you use the stylus to press a button on a GBA.

Patriot that Goeman game is not only coming but it looks incredible

The machine has Japanese, English, French, German, Spanish and Italian for the onboard menu, and it also uses the same charger as the GBA SP, so it's fairly safe to assume it is. And if it isn't, you can sell it for an inflated price to GAME or whoever, and buy the PAL one when that comes out.

EDIT- Straight from the horse's gob.

Fuck knows what they mean by the last thing, but it might be to discourage people using a Japanese PSU in the US. Or something silly like that.

That's excellent news. ;)

Weinberg, sign me up for a DS!

I'm planning on preordering one but am waiting for confirmation on the prices of the games. VGP's 69.99 CAD is nearly double the rumoured (?) $29.99 price point for games so hopefully the actual prices will be announced fairly soon. Anyone know of any other retailers that have game prices up?

Edit: Just noticed the other thread ;) I'm assuming 'Nintendogs'/'Puppy whatever' isn't a US launch title?

From Paradigm's topic:

Just in case any of you missed it, Nintendo said games would retail for "as low as" $29.99. But, hey, 'as low as', right? Probably more. Still, I just gave VGP a bell and Sidney said...!

...and the games will retail for 39.99 to 49.99cdn not 69.99

$50 CA is about £21 for those who want to know. Hooray.

The dogs looked fantastic.

The cooler stuff I've seen on DS has been the same neck of the woods as the cool ideas people have for eyeToy and then realise eyeToy can't do--far more tactile, intuitive interaction.

Obviously Mario and Metroid don't play into this at all. But they have huge appeal in themselves; Mario has new levels for Mario 64 -- that's tremendously exciting. When Sunshine came out, the moaning minnies were all "Mario 64 is better": well here it is, _more_ Mario 64. And Metroid... it's Quake 3 Arena, with Metroid looks and its wireless and its portable and has--what looks like--really good controls.

The 2nd wave of DS software should be really special.

I  Nintendogs/Puppy Times

Not one of the other titles appeals, but this just looks great.

Perhaps its cos I want a real dog and the missus won't let me have one.

I dunno, but this is the killer app for me of the announced titles.

Maybe its the mid-life crisis, or broodiness, I dunno, but damn those are some cute puppies.

Yeah I'm actually looking forward to it too (I never had a tamagotchi ;) ) but unfortunatly I don't think it's a US launch title :P
