I've got a couple of questions:

- Do headshots do more damage even when the shield is up? They seem to

- If you get your shield knocked out a few times but don't die, do you weaken at all? Like there's an invisible health bar of some sort? I say this because I got killed in one hit by a shotgun last night even on full shields.

Looks like I missed a good couple of games. Wish Id stayed on a bit longer now.

And im really gutted im going to miss the Evil Team faceoff tonight! Especially now I know they're all shit scared of me! Mwahahaha :D

Syntax - How was the Pool Tourney & Strippers? Or were you too preoccupied texting manicman to findout our results.

Am I missing something? EVT faceoff?

But yeah, the pool was bad (we got beat), but the strippers were hot! One declined my offer to join her on stage for a stripping duet, which in retrospect is not a bad thing! :o

Level 1 to level 7 in one night, not bad guys.

Hitch, the minor clan matches and the major clan matches have different clan ratings. It's true that we got the minor clan match clan rating up to 7 but it was higher than 1 when we started due to other matches on previous nights. We did take the major clan match clan rating from 1 to 4 or 5 though.

My undersrtanding is headshots do more damage.

As for the shotgun the closer you get, the more damage you do. Near point blank head show with a shot gun will take you down in oner, regardless of shields.

AFAIK Sniping headshots still kill in one shot, therefore, it would be reasonable to assume other ballistics do more damage even when the shield is at full strength.

Wondering about an invisible health meter is natural but it would be dumb if they'd done this with no way of healing yourself, so, I'd say no invisible health bar and you're as good as new when your shield regenerates, probably.

Shotguns have always had the ability to kill in one shot, even in the original. I've done it many, many times. We used to play shotgun only matches and there's no finer thing than an approaching enemy who shoots his load too soon, running into his midriff and unloading the full wad is indeed a pleasure...you have to make sure you manage this before he follows up with a melee though. The latter is unlikely from someone prone to shooting prematurely though.

No need to aim for the head with a point blank shot from a shotgun. Trying to be that precise could actually lessen the damage.

Tis a good idea - it'll also help you to get to know the weapons. I found a great new 'two hit combo' by accident last night - I waited for a guy to come round the corner, them I pumped a shotgun round right into his chest followed immediately by a melee - instant death!

Oh boy, your new find is old as the hills....but well done sir, you play like someone who knew that, and a few other things, all along.

Cheers! I only switched to greenthumb for Halo 2, so more effective meleeing has only recently become a possibility for me.

I was thinking the same...I'm sure it was mentioned earlier in the thread (or their thread) though.

I thought you guys were arranging the first Roll Muck / Evil Team clan battle for tonight.

Im sure it was mentioned way back before all the trash talk from EVT started clogging up the thread.

That sounds like a game we used to play at public school!

Guys, the first page of this thread has now been updated with some information.

If you dont get online for a while and what to know at a glance what is going and if we have any games arranaged, this is the place you will find it at a glance.

Good work!

God were SO much more organised than the EVT

Yeah, good work.

But why don't I have a number next to my name? What do they mean?

It's because I'm a bit shit, isn't it?

No, its because you havent chosen one yet B)

Or of you have then I missed it, so apologies. You have the full of blue numbers to choose from, ommiting number three.

What they mean? It just to use for your insignia (if you like, but we gently encourage :( ) in clan games (use what you like the rest of the time*). Just makes identifying each other easier at a glance "Watch out 3, behind you!" etc.

* You can set up a profile for clan games so you dont have to keep changing your insignia when playing on your own.

Ah, sorry - I missed that bit.

I'll be blue 1 then, cheers.

Of course, this also means we can really geek out by reenacting the Deathstar assault:

[crackle] red 5 standing by...blue 1 standing by....red 2 standing by...drive warthog in attack position [crackle]

But why red seven, he looks like Spock's ugly nephew ;):

red seven

Glad you like the avatar. I had a roll muck/dung beetle/katamari idea for it, works out nicely I think.

:angry::(

Who was Red 3? It wasn't Porkins was it???

EDIT: Woohoo! I'm Biggs Darklighter! Destined to die after making arrangements to meet Red 5 after the battle!
