After one matchmaking game last night, some guy asked, "are you guys from the rllmuk forum?"

Anyone know who that was? I didn't recognise any names.

Well, considering a lot of our clan don't use forum names on LIVE then it's no wonder they didn't look familiar. I put it down to my forum celebrity, I think my name may have been recognised. Possibly.

Thursday night.

Heads up clanners. I'm having a few friends around on Tuesday night and we're looking for 4 of you to give us a few games. My guests will include U-1, teyene and my bro. We'll all be signing into my box and playing on teyene's projector. I have upgraded my connection to 1mb so hopefully it'll take the strain. 2 players on one box worked fine with my old 512k connection. Any takers? I would prefer to take on clan members as this will be a learning exercise for all of us.

We should be on from 8pm onwards.

Wow this thread's grown 9 pages since last night!

Haven't got time to read through it all at work, but I'm guessing some of you people wil be around tonight playing Halo 2, and killing people and stuff? :huh:

I'll be on from about 8:30.

Ok, I will PM you! B)

Me, Carrera, Envleope and Hitvcher played some games last night. Im afraid we got a bit of a schooling on some game types we hadnt rreally played before, and it showed. CTF on Ascension, and also CTF on Midship. These small tight maps you really need to get your tactics down fast if you want to stand a chance against level 9's etc. Otherwise you will be down quick!

I left then but I as I browsed the forum I was watching Carrera, manicman and Utopastac play and they seemed to rescue some dignity for the team, I seen them win three games at least. But then I am sure they will be on to tel you about them :huh:

How did you guys get on last night? Who ended up playing?

We didn't have much luck last night. It took half an hour to get everyone in the same room, and even then people got chucked out pretty quick.

Eventually four of us tried some matchmaking, but got panned pretty badly (Hitcher having laggy connection meant we were effectively a man down). I really need to learn Ascension! I've been thrashed every time I've played it!

We won a couple of games later on though, but they weren't clan games!

Sorry to everyone who couldn't get into the matchmaking - you didn't miss much!

I think we were chatting away during the setup and didn't look at the game type or anything, so when it started we were like huh, where are we going? etc etc

It was all over in about 1 minute 30 :huh:

Something we discovered yesterday:

You can put 8 of you in a party and go to matchmaking.

Pick training ground and it will just be you 8, unranked with the gametypes from Team Skirmish & Minor Clan Match.

It will pick them at random and also randomise the teams. Quite useful to get some tactics together and play the different game types.

Aren't you thinking of your match vs Evil Team? Spanx wasn't in our group. But if it was you, I'll have to post a topic saying "Gamestyle pwned!"
