Pob
Now I've been away for a few days, am I going to be letting the side down? Last time I played I still didn't really know the maps or how to play half the game types. You guys might have to carry me for a bit

Manicman, you defo wont let the side down, as U1 says we were struggling a bit ourselves. Pop Monkey is the man though, he seems to know them all pretty well. Distinct muttering
was fun today but i have to say I really need more practise I think most of us do. But thats what these meets are for, hopefully we can all get better together. I think the main thing is developing tactics for the likes of Capture the Flag and the bomb one. mezzanine
You know how those kids got that win despite the score being 1-1 on CTF? I wonder if you can steal 1st place just by one player quiting moments before the game is over and called a draw

But then last night we got lots of proper draws?
Pob
Great games this evening. Even though we lost fairly consistently, we made them work for their victories. That neutral bomb assault mode is fantastic. Not sure why there is a time limit though - surely it's better without that? It seems that the key is communication. When we were playing at 6pm, whichever team U1 was on tended to when, and I'm pretty sure this is because he is great at calmly and clearly keeping people updated about what's going on or asking relevent questions. It really helps to have a running commentary about where the flag is, where the enemy is etc. We definitely should do the old 'numbers for symbols' trick. It will make communication much easier. And we also need some clear names for areas on the maps. Brilliant fun though!
Distinct muttering
We just had a game from a guy on Carrera's friends list Clan there, "Irony Bonus" Got to say I really enjoyed that one. Sorry if I sounded a trifle over excited ( ) but I was really dying to beat them. Unfortunatley not, but I thinkwe did really well. We definitely had our organisation going much better on CTF near the end there. Top stuff guys, thanks a lot to all concernded today in general with Roll Muck, glad we had such a good turn out. Look to have another game maybe midweek before the Bath meet. Out of interest what rollmuckers are attending the meet?

We need to come up with some distinctive pattern to go with it as well. Sorry if it looks like we are copying you Evil Team, but it just makes tactical sense B)

Distinct muttering
Think I switch from Rllmuk to Roll muck Mate, we are all recruited out I am afraid. Roll Muck is a small close knit team, but if someone is struggling to make games then conisder yourself a standby. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but we just dont want around 30 members were no-one knows each other properly
Yewone
Sorry I couldnt be around for longer tonight guys (real life called unfortunately ) I was really beginning to get into it as well. Would have liked to play a few ranking clan games to see how we faired against the competition. Did you play many? If so, how did you get on. Tonights turnout was really encouraging, I think (as Syntax has suggested) if we keep the numbers low it gives us a much better chance of getting some decent team tactics going. I imagine i`ll be on most evenings this week, so if anyone fancys some midweek clan action let me know. ...and are we definitely doing the number logo thing? It will be a shame to lose all our little personal emblems, especially your Santa one But I think it makes sense. I mean, I guess we would lesrn most of the insignia eventually, but would make things easier mid game for tactics I think. What does everyone else think? U1, I played a few clan matches with some of the guys earlier, we won and lost in about equal numbers. We for some reason lost a drawn game? Which was especially annoying as we were 1-0 for ages only to lose a point in the last round Also lost one on Midship As SuperGordy I think was locked out leaving us with 3 players Then we played another clan tonight but it was just in custom game as no-one knew how to do an arrnaged ranking clan match? Some top games, go check the stats. We are defo on for a rematch though, might try and arrnage it this week before Bath.

What does everyone else think? I suppose it could work either way really, as I was already getting used to certain insignias, like yours, carreras, manicmans and pop monkey. As long as we keep them different it shouldnt really matter that much...however having said that I have no strong objections to using numbers either Although I would have to keep my xmasy grunt as a forum avatar..Ive become quite attached to it

Roll Muck is a small close knit team, but if someone is struggling to make games then conisder yourself a standby. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but we just dont want around 30 members were no-one knows each other properly That's how it should be. Kinda. When we play Zanzibar for example, I know I don't have to worry about being rocketed or sniped when we're attacking as I know that the other people are dealing with it and when the flag is picked up I know where it is going without anyone having to say. Everyone has a role and it's cool. If you play with different people everytime it's hard to employ tactics smoothly I reckon.

utopastac
Also lost one on Midship As SuperGordy I think was locked out leaving us with 3 players Yeah, that was weird. We didn't really have a chance after that! Good games though, I should be on most nights this week if anyone's around.
Pob
I'm up for more punishment this evening if anyone is around, as I enjoyed last night's games so much. I've made a new flag for myself - ut's a white 3 in a red circle with a white background. I would post a picture but the Bungie site hasn't updated yet. We could use this style for 1-9, and use a blue circle for the rest of the clan. Then we get to call each other 'red one' and 'blue six', which might sound quite cool

Miner Willy
Enjoyed that, even though I'm still trying to get to know the maps & game modes. Loved the 3 aside 3-team king of the hill one - that was a great match, even though we lost right at the end. Agreed re the communication, but I think that will come when we all know the game a little better. I don't really know what I'm doing most of the time, so so far my communication has mostly been limited to the "um, what am I supposed to be doing again?", and "sorry for shooting my own team" variety. Still, great fun.

Distinct muttering
On the numbers aspect it has to be Magnificent 7 for me. Although I kinda agree with U1, I am begining to recognise more of the symbols now. Maybe we just need some colour adjustments for some of them? Im ready to go with the majority on it though. I will be on tonight, but wont be on till after 9. If U1 or Manicman are wanting to invite clan members go to Clan after you have set up a room in your friends list, then choose x for other options and you can choose to invite all clan members who are online at that time. Saves some time. Not sure if non staff have that option? This might be a bit geeky as well, but I was thinking, how easy would it be to take one of the overview of the arena pics from the bungie site, enlarge it a little bit and use it formulate some tactics on it in photoshop? Have I just taken it too far
