You flew for miles! It was a very satifying kill! :)

Taking the enemy out with explosions is always nice. Some unfortunate souls on foundation yesterday did not keep the fusion cores in mind. Their limp bodies flew for miles across the courtyard (taking the skull with them :ph34r: ) when I shot the cores instead of them.

I also enjoyed rocketing a fully loaded warthog that just pulled up in front of our base on coag, especially since lag had prevented some earlier lock dependant rocket kills. It's very frustrating when you can hear the 'oomph'of the rocket leaving the chamber but nothing actually happens.

Yes, yes you should :)

Its quite easy to do on coag if you get disorienteated. However if it wasnt coag, then there is no excuse :P

Actually, I really need to spend time just walking round ivory tower. I know my way round it well enough in my head, but when it comes to heat of battle carrying a flag I get all confused and end up just runni9ng round the full cirlce until I can see the waterfall!

Yeah had great fun last night, until I had to turn off my comms. My flatmate must have started downloading because my connection was awful after that for the last 4 or 5 games. It was black most of the time and I just couldn't kill anyone - they'd be in front of me one minute and I'd be dead the next. The sword battles were just impossible for me, everyone was lagging around so much. I only stayed on because I hoped he'd go to bed but I think he left stuff downloading....

Anyway before that it was ace. And Syntax, yes when I was defending on Coagulation with you (my connection was ok for some of that game), I was down on the bottom of the base waiting with the shotgun cos I knew they would drive the Warthog down there and go up the lift. Of course they never noticed me in their charge to get upstairs, so I chucked a bunch of grenades at the warthog and watched the explosion kill them all - then laughed my ass off when you siad 2 bodies had just come up the lift :lol: . Most satisfying.

Gonna have to get my flatmate to install some net limiting software to give me my much needed 512k. I was having fun when I had a green connection before I had to turn off comms - when it was red or yellow for most of the time after that it's just bollocks, practically unplayable.

Have to say the 3 teams oddball on that wee grey map was one of my faves. Mental but very funny, especially when I was flying around in the banshee like a mentalist.

U1 - when I blew myself up at the end of that Ivory tower game, my connection had been red the whole game. I couldn't do anything decent, when I fired that rocket it was down the corridor at an enemy on my screen, so it was kind of surprising to see myself blow up with no apprent reason... grrr

That Headlong king of the hill game was fab as well, so close

That made me laugh.

I was on my own carrying the flag back to base.. it was down to sudden death and I turned the final corner to victory. Only to come face to face with Mr Stock tooled up with a Rocket Launcher. Imagine my surprise when instead of the instant death I was expecting, i saw him tilt his head towards the floor, pull the trigger and launch his body 50ft up in the air, leaving me a nice clear run home.

That had a definite sense of reverse garbage chute for me...

Had another 'Doh' moment in the 'Hog on coag. I think Rockboy was in the gunner position and I saw someone fly into the high sniper point. So I said something like: Gunner, please kill the guy in the high sniper point , 3 o'clock high, you can see his banshee up there (add panic and loose grasp of English for more accurate transcription).

I then saw his gun flailing everywhere and heard 'where? where?'. To which I could only answer: 'It s right at the end of that rocket's smoketrail... :lol: '

Haha, that was brilliant. that's the first time I'd been up there in a combat situation. I looked down and though, "right, who can I rocket?" Then your Hog came into view and parked up right in my line of sight. I watched the rocket spiral through air for ages while you just sat there.... :lol:

Sorry guys, was dropped out of the game and could not reconnect.

I'm getting the feeling there are some recurring issues with at least my connection and Syntax's (not only the joining problems but also being unable to play major clan battles as soon as Syntax joined tonight.) Looking around the internet I think it might be a NAT issue with his router.

I checked in my xbox dashboard (go to settings>networksettings>connect>press y> press A) and my NAT is Open NAT:

NT: 1 = Open = NAT level 1

NT: 2 = Moderate = NAT level 2

NT: 3 = Strict = NAT level 3

Apparently only NAT (NT) level 1 gamers can play against all other Open, Moderate and Strict setting players. If you have either NT: 2 or NT: 3 setting's you'll have problems playing against other players (loss of voice, poor voice quality, network problem messages, loss of connection etc).

So Syntax, if your NT is 2 or 3 that is probably the source of the problem. This site suggests some steps to solve this. Hope this helps

Apologies for dropping out mid-game last night everyone, hope you understand. Probably for the best anyway, as I was playing like a complete fuckwit for most of the evening. Gonna have a break for a few days methinks. :D

dont, thats what i did and i turned completely rubbish.

So thats not the problem.

the guy from microsoft took me through all those settings when I phoned up and he said my connection and settting s was perfect.  even told me  the router I was using was 100% compatible  :D

Weird....is the ip on your xbox fixed or have you got the live connection set to automatic? You said you could solve the problem by resetting your router and you also once managed to come on by plugging in carrera's box. So if your xbox is assigned different ip's by your router everytime you turn it on that may also be an issue (although I don't see how to be honest). If you set the ip off your xbox to manual in the dashboard you can also move that ip into the dmz of the router which should solve any possible port problems.

Every IP in the house is set to the same. So yeah, it is fixed,

Its a really weird one.

Sorry for not joining in last nights fun guys.

I fell asleep at 8 and woke up at 3AM! :D

I think all the late nights finally caught up with me.

I came on when I got home last night, I was absolutely wrecked! Played a monster game of CTF on Zanzi with Harlen and Soong etc. tjhough, so by the end of that the hang over had kicked in and I was sober.

Good game though, although I guess if I was a bit more sober it might of helped.
