Every IP in the house is set to the same.  So yeah, it is fixed,

Its a really weird one.

But wouldn't the same ip just be the external ip of the router? I meant the ip that the router uses to identify your xbox, that can't be the same in the house because Carrera's xbox and your PC use the same router don't they?

You can not have identical ip's on the same network (I think, I'm not a real techhead :D). What I meant was if it is fixed in the xbox dashboard settings or that the connection to live is set to automatic (sorry if you know exactly what I meant.... :D ). If the ip of the xbox is fixed you can move it into the dmz in your routers settings.

By the way, do you experience these problems only when I'm around or also with other people? It could be that just our connections don't like eachother for some reason.

Thanks guys, though I'm only really decent with a few select weapons, I am better as support I think. Sorry I vanished mid-game, our wireless connection goes down sometimes, we reckon due to interference or something. Unfortunately the router's in my flatmates bedroom and it would be a tad harsh to wake him and his gf up at 2am to get back on Halo!

I enjoyed last night's games, I thought we played well as a team apart from some where I think the team needs better communication (hardly anyone spoke in some of the objective based games we played) and combined attacks. The most annoying thing about not being able to speak is when I can't warn you guys about something. "He's behind you!". Mind you I seem to play a bit better when I'm not chatting away, I focus more on combat instead of getting distracted.

As for the games on Friday night, they were excellent fun, the highlight being the epic Zanzibar 3 vs 3 game. That game is the closest I've ever played on Halo 2, both teams were so close so many times, then denied at the last second. It started to get tedious but it was still an amazingly fun and tense game. Also I learnt a lot more about the strategies you can use and that map is becoming second nature as to where the weapons and stuff are. Really good map that is.

Should be on tonight, though don't know how good my connection will be. The net limiting saga continues...

sorry couldnt join you yesterday afternoon Hitch, I just popped on for a few games of Rumble Pitt before I had to go meet the GF, I knew if I got on with you and the others it was a recipe for disaster, i.e me being mega late! :unsure:

Will be on tonight after I have finished fiddling with (illegally downloading songs :D ) on my new i pod mini the GF got me for crimbo B)

I think I left in the menu, awaiting invites that never came, whilst posting on the forum. I'm such a drama queen sometimes, I want to be wanted, damnit. I didn't notice anyone else online at the time though.

I didn't send any invites because you were joinable - you just didn't answer me. :D

I may be on later today but my connection's been playing up. :unsure:

Ive hardly been on at all over the weekend... did a bit of matchmaking this afternoon but thats been about it.

Think I needed a couple of days off, I really overdid it last week.

Cant make tonight either im affraid, but I'll definitely be back to fight the good fight on Monday :unsure:

Guys...really, really sorry but I cant make tonights games! :(

I`ll be OK for tomorrow night but the run up to Xmas is proving a bit of a nightmare to get any freetime.

Good luck! (not that you need it!) and I look forward to reading about our 5-0 victory! ;)

I wouldnt worry Alan, IF it goes ahead its not likely to be very serious, its all rather hastily arranged and a bit up in the air at the mo.

If it does just some games against fellow forumites*

*of course if we whip their ass I will be straight on here given it the big talk ;)
