Tell me about it. ;)

Got up to level 11 playing with Harlen and Rockboy over Xmas only for my connection to screw up about 5 days ago and then drop down to level 9. ;)

Finally got through to NTL yesterday to be told there's no problem with the network and it's my PC by some woman in India.

Posted on the NTHell forums and someone there checked and found a local network problem which he's logged with the engineers.

Happy new year folks. Arrived back in Leam last night and of course immediately booted up Halo 2 ;)

I have 2 days off work including today, and my flatmates on holiday so it's an ideal time to play Halo 2 to death until my eyes pop out!

Anyone want to play during the day?

Just phoned Microsoft about replacing my broken headset. Sadly it's out of warranty so I am forced to fork out for a new one... so decided to go all out and get the Halo 2 one which Rushy assures me is excellent.

No more head pains for me! Hurray!

If anyone wants to play this afternoon/early evening when noone else is on, just send me a message. My xbox is on all day whilst I mess about on the pc.

I'm back too.

Looks like a few of us will be on tonight then! I'll go on about 9 or 9:30 hopefully.

So much for leaving Halo 2 alone for a bit while I concentrate on more important things, such as sleeping and meeting girls ;)

So much for leaving Halo 2 alone for a bit while I concentrate on more important things, such as sleeping and meeting girls ;)

Meeting girls? Pah, think of the online time you would lose ;)

Funnily Alan I have broken my headset too. Although I have done a patch job with the old superglue. got a Halo one in reserve but have been told before I sound much quiter while using that one? Funnily everyone else sounded much clearer to me :D

I will be on anytime from around 6ish, will prob just leave the box on till I see some familar names online.

There was definitely something funny going on when you used the Halo headset - you sounded very muffled (not necessarily a bad thing? :) )

Well it's more my 'Syntax hinders me hosting major clan battles'. Not really a theory anymore, I can host major clan battles happily without you, but not with you :P. Still love you though, major clan battles are overrated etc etc :wub:

I think its mainly my ISP though

so Im changing to Pipex or BT and hopefully it will be sorted

Just unplug and uninstall everything network related, then reconnect and reinstall the lot. That should fix it, and it'll likely make playing with you less of a nightmare.

Also, copy Carrera's XBox settings and replicate them exactly on your own XBox, since his seems to work just fine.

Stroker, I have been through all the x box live settings with microsoft help desk, and they say its all fine, also say the router I am using is 100% compatible.

Carrera actually does have problems at times on halo and pro evo, just not as much as me :)

Cheers for the games guys. It was nice to get back into the swing of things with a few wins under our belt.

I think we must have only lost 1 or maybe 2 games all night.

I do think however that my quote of big team battles for 2005 is already full. Think I'd like to try a throw a few smaller games into the mix as well next time.
