Although it does prove I can get from one end of the map to the other quicker.

As long as you don't spawn the other side of the map from where the hill is :lol:

Was it you I was driving in the Warthog to the hill spot by the sea? Also there was that instance where Jigsawn's usually brilliant driving skills actually saw us plummet down to earth after missing the jump off of the broken bridge as we hit something that sent us all tumbling. :(

It's definitely my favourite gametype.

I can conclusively say that I lost that game for our team :angry:

It was 4:59 all, and I was sparring with Rev in the final 'area'. As I had the carbine, I thought I'd better get a bit of distance between myself and him. So I stepped out of the area. Doh!

There were loads of great moments in those Headlong games:

Us comfortably owning the area in the base, then Pootle suddenly starts shooting up my beloved Banshee, that I was planning to hop in as soon as the hill moved! :D:(

Swooping down elegantly in said Banshee to the overshield area, being quite pleased with myself for getting there so quick. As I gently hit the ground, I turn and find myself staring down Atarian's rocket-tube (oo-er).

While defending the overshield spot, saying to Rockboy "I've got the sniper, the shotgun and the overshield. I really don't want to die." Then Pootle appears from nowhere in front of my face and fires to beam rifle shots directly into my head. :(

Hehe that was a surprising crash we had on that game. Must of hit a bit of the swinging bridge I guess. Anyway for the record I am not quite so mental at driving any more, but I still go a bit crazy sometimes and do amazing stunts (killing all my teammates in the process of course).

While I'm here - do Roll Muck fancy a pre-championship friendly tomorrow (today, Sunday)? We should have at least 4 nubes on including myself, and we could do with a bit of cheat free practicing.

No worries if you can't get players together, it is short notice. Probably about 8.30 tonight if you can make it.

Thanks for the games tonight guys.

Highlights must be...

CTF Zanzi - attack:

1) Escaping with the flag the way Syntax wasn't expecting it to go and calling me a fucker for it :P

2) Managing to leg it all the way with the flag to the alcove before being gunned down

3) Respawning to find a guy camping out at the flag point, sticking his Ghost and watching it blow up as we score.

CTF Zanzi - defence:

1) Sticking carrera twice in the same place as we duked it out and hearing Syntax say 'I think there's an invisi guy round here' :P (I had no invisi shield!)

2) Watching Syntax and another on the windmill and meleeing them to death for a double kill with Syntax exclaiming 'who the hell is that?' prior to him dying :(

3) With the blue team having taken the flag and are running along the sea wall, I manage to get to the beach prior to them dropping it down and in a last ditch attempt luz a grenade up onto the wall only to see uto's dead body and flag come flying down in front of me, and thus denying them to score in the dying seconds :lol:

All in the name of fun :)

It would have been OK, but I thought I'd be clever, so I said to the guys, 'don't worry, I'll chuck it into the Alcove. I can do this jump easy', only to realise that even after doing it I was the one closest so ended up having to walk all the way up the bastard stairs and fetch it myself.

Had fun last night too. I really enjoyed getting killed over and over again. My highlight was the time I managed to stay alive for more then 1 minute (yes, I'm definately seeing some improvement in my play).

Oh and last night I earned my first medal (jippy!) for "biggest-dying-spree-ever-seen-on-Live" when playing some team slayer with Sack Man 64 en MrBen, amongst others.

Yout too hard on yourself, I thought you played really well. Shot me a few times in the face for sure.
