Distinct muttering

Nothing Definite for me and my team yet.

Tbh im not really part of a clan as such, and thus, finding people is going to be a problem. My buddy dewfire should be up for it though.

The rest I'll have to query through my friends list and the Pro-G forums, since the 'clan' I'm in is just the Pro-G staff body that have Halo, but all very rarely play it. :P

EDIT: have two people agreed, just waiting on another two now, to give us 4 players and one sub.

So far its:

Clan: ProG UK

IC3COLD

dewfire

ResidenlSteve

All a bit rushed, this, having to think on my feet. We'll probably be woefully bad by comparison to most teams but there you go, at least we'll partake. And I can shoot some people. With the sniper rifle. In the head. Oh yes ;)

By the way, can guests play? My housemate would probably like to get in on this, but we wouldn't be forking out for a second gamertag to do so.

Dont see why not. I guess it does leave us open to you inviting the top Halo players in the world round to your house on the night of the matches to play as your "housemate", but I reckon we might be safe.

Just make sure you register him as part of your team by Friday.

How many was it we're allowed?

So far, we have thus:

Clan: Pro G UK

Team

IC3COLD

ResidenlSteve

dewfire

Macephalx

Gaz RW

...and you can also consider me to have a +1 next to my name for my housemate/ Who isn't one of the worlds top Halo players, unfortunately :D ... :(

i'm not sure you know, i havn't been asked but i might come over. Team wounce is a bit dead as no one has been playing much. Where did you hear this from benny?

I think it was either J0NNY5 or thebigboss that mentioned it. I said it was unlikely, but I didnt know that Team Wounce members werent online much at the time. Be good to have you on board though.

not the place, but who cares ...

i suggested that we try and recruit you, as you're a good player, and evt loves the cock, so you'd fit in well will all the other arseholes on evt. people thought it was a good idea (well no-one objected), so one of the overlords has sent you an invite.

the rest is, as they say, up to you ...

can evt submit two teams of seven? the idea is we have a core four, but have three subs available if necessary? just we have some students with various course loads, j0nny5 is on holiday for the next month, some members have lives apart from halo2, blah blah blah, so it would be good to have the extra subs.

Six is fine. Im not gonna cap subs, as we wanna make sure games get played. But as I said before, its in that spirit, not in the spirit of emassing an elite pool of players.

With regard to last nights Sacred Remains and Roll Much match, the situation that arose last night would be dealt as such.

First off, I doubt any of the games will last that long, as we are sticking to more conventional matchmaking types, and a neutral bomb game would have a time limit (as we did intend last night).

In the event of a game being set up wrong all players should quit to the lobby as soon as they realise this, regardless of the score. so there is a heavy responsibility on the home team to set things up properly, so put your team captain, or whoever is most familiar with the menu in charge.

In the event a player must leave mid game then the team will have to continue without him. So pick your team wisely before the game to ensure no-one has prior commitments. We all know games can vary in their length, and we must be prepared for this.

None of the above is passing comment on anything that happened last night, we are just learning from the situatin, and preparing to avoid it again.

As I say, as many subs as you like, but the subs are not interchangeable between the two teams.

So if you name two teams of , they must operate within that team, regardless if the other team wants to "borrow" one of them.

not sure that's fair. for instance slayer colossus, if the team with three has the sniper, and two defenders, it's quite likely they're at an advantage. if someone leaves, you should default that game, and any others to be played.

in my opinion.

Wouldnt it be better to just get a sub in. After all thats what they're there for.

No, because that brings in the element of people trying to fix their team. i.e starting with certain players, then claiming one has to leave so they can bring in their Star Slayer player or something when that gamettype comes up.

To be honest I dont think any of us are that busy that we cant manage one hour to fulfil a match.

If you are that unlucky then you just have to make do with the players left in the team.

Also I dont want to be in a game as we sit and wait for invites going out to people so they can fill and have to sit and wait.

as I said before the subs are to allow the games to go ahead. Someone shouldnt put there name in for the match that night if they think they cant spare the full approx hour it will take to play the games.

I meant in case of network problems, and (heaven forbid) connections dropping.

When it comes to subbing, I think each team should be allowed one sub per match. There should be a five-minute time limit for the sub to join so there is no excessive hanging around in the lobby. If he's not there in time, they must play the next game a man down.

This will help people who have genuine connection problems or who get called away urgently, but will stop people swapping in and out constantly between games.
