I only played the first two games. How did we do on the others?

Assault on Zanzibar was really close. n00bs came really close to scoring a couple of times. Too bad Gingerism (that's his name, right?) kept dropping out. Our first assault was alright, we were a little sloppy on the second one.

Shotguns on Midship was really close for the first half of the match. For the first 40 kills you could hardly hear anything over that Halo voice saying "Lost the lead" , "Taken the lead", "Lost the lead", etc. We were ahead by just 2 kills after the first 2 encounters and decided to make a stand. Although n00bs did really well on the attacks of the room we were holding up in, we managed to pull ahead by another 4 kills and from there on we played it out nicely. I think we won 36/50 eventually. Really close game, loved it.

Most memorable moment: blowing up the warthog outside the gate on Zanzibar. I think I hit it sideways but the rocket must have gone under the hog or something cause it was the most spectacular display of flying vehicles, bodies and other crap I've ever seen.

Was that when Gingerism was driving and his connection dropped, causing the Hog to quietly roll to a standstill? I was on te other side of the base but I could hear the tossing and tumbling of the wreckage lasting for ages.

Assault on Zanzibar

RM2 1 - NBS 0

We managed to plant the bomb after the initial assault faltered by stumbling on the rocket launcher and clearing the plant site. Both teams did a good job defending afterwards and Nubes came very close to scoring.

Shotguns on Midship

RM2 50 - NBS 36

stats

Very close to start with, with the lead switching all the time. We got the upperhand when we stopped running (and getting spread out) and started holding a room so we could concentrate firepower. The Nubes did some valiant concerted grenade attacks and managed to drive us out of the room on a few occasions but all too soon resorted to storming in one by one with predictable results.

Team Slayer on Ascension

RM2 43 - NBS 31

This one didn't start too well for us. Around the 14 - 14 mark we were all holed up on the banshee plaform, with no long or medium range weapons, while the Nubes covered the platform with snipers and battle rifles. We kept our heads down and Rockboy managed a small attack, but things were looking bleak until the banshee spawned. This was the turning point since with it we could kill and distract the snipers long enough to break out and aquire better ranged weaponry. After that we pulled ahead and managed to hold the lead.

Team Phantoms on Midship

RM2 50 - NBS 36

stats

A game similar to the shotgun edition but with added confusion. Even the final score is identical. Special mention must go to Rockboy who managed 18 kills and received as many medals.

Team Slayer on Zanzibar

RM2 41 - NBS 25

stats

A nice regular slayer match. We managed to loosely cover eachother and kept communicating, slowly building on our lead. Had a memorable kill at the end of the match when I was grenaded out of the warthhog but threw a grenade myself which managed to blow up the hog just as one of the Nubes passed it.

Thanks to the Nubes for some well fought games which were a lot closer than the 5-0 suggests.

It might be, I think I only got a double kill so it's possible he dropped out just then. It sure was spectacular B)

hey guys. About the Pro G game for the quarters...

I've PM'd Hitcher... basically this week has been an absolute nightmare for us, but monday, tuesday and thursday for us next week should be very doable. discuss amongst yourselves and let us know what best suits :)

erm, monday's a no-go for you then. and friday is really no-go for us I'm afraid, as is wednesday. Tuesday or thursday alright? :P

I'll see if we can make it monday, though tuesday would really suit us better I think. I'll have to ask my team, since I can play either day.

Good thing is 3 of my guys play on one xbox so if one can play, they all usually can. Its just Doc and Dewfire I need to check with about availability. Let you know when I do.

Slight change of circumstances for me i'm afraid. I'm going to Scotland on Thursday - if absolutely necessary to fulfill the fixture i can take the xbox up there and make Thursday - but Friday, Saturday and Sunday are out. Also, i need to know before midday on any of the days we are playing at the moment, as i'm on night shifts.

Have to say, its bordering on taking the piss now, we have given full availability for 2 weeks now and we are looking at a few hours notice of the game......

Oh, and we have no preference on colour, that I'm aware of. Certainly none of my team have requested a particular one, so I guess we'll just sort it out in lobby ;)
