I don't think you ought to put yourself out for something that clearly isn't a wrongdoing on your part. Unless you wish to participate.

Hitch has ensured we're been informed and available for weeks - Pro G have access to this thread to keep themselves informed so info can be relayed easily enough for fixture arranging but this doesn't seem to be happening...

I see there is only 4 of us can make it for certain at the mo - on that basis i'll get up in time, even if someone else can make it and i'm not selected. If i am playing we'll need to start 8 sharp though to be sure we finish the games in time.

Unlucky, they are a good team. That said when I walked into the living room when Carrera was playing he was trying to snipe someone on Acsension who was warping round the map so much it would of made Captain Kirk proud! Needless to say he was on a red bar the full time.

We had a big problem that our connection (the one used by myself, maelstrom and raider) was just red bar permenantly, but we had little choice but to sub in a player, or play with the lagged player, the option was given (as we would have prefered to sub in anyhow) but your team didnt want the sub, so the lag guy just did the best he could.

You cant really blame that though, respect has to be given to the other three players who played well to compensate for the lagging player.

As I remember it we left it up to you to decide on that explicitly. Wouldn't have mattered for the outcome though, you guys are much better then we are, simple as that.

First match was CTF fast on Ivory Tower, Pro G had the fastest bombplant I've ever seen. We never quite got our bomb on the bombspot if I'm not mistaken. Second assault we did manage to get a second or 2 on the bomb but that's about it.

Crazy King on Ascension was mayhem. You guys did really well gathering all the big weapons and keeping the spot behind the small sniper tower for the whole minute. Have to say I spawned all the way across the map every single time I died, that makes it hard to attack as a team. But in the end we only had like 1:30, Pro G had about 4:30.

3 Plots on Ascension was a bit better. We started out ok but started losing big time after the first minute or 2.

It was obvious Pro G had a good plan on who does what and we hardly had any plan at all (I think it took us about 3 minutes to discuss our tactics right before the game ). I

Since the games weren't enjoyable at all we decided to quit after the third, which is a first for us, we even finished our colossal defeats against Om Yom and EVT. Personally I think I wouldn't sign up for another championship, I've only played the games in which we didn't stand a chance. And I always tell myself you can still have fun when losing but then there's losing and there's being crushed. I'd rather take my chances in a matchmade game.

Hey, I enjoyed being crushed by Om Yom! The difference there was that there was no pressure to win, just go the distance.

Thats all I seen, I couldnt comment either way. It did look a serious disadvantage to Roll Muck though as the guy was taking the middle plot, carrera attempting to snipe, but the guy warping ten, fifteen feet at a time.

the problem is, most of us are on NTL..

bad decision from myself.. I decided to go with NTL for the BB connection in our house (where three members of our team live) rather than ADSL (purely for cost) and its been a bad idea.. constant problems with the connection and nothing we can do about it.

I think on at least 2 occasions I managed to make it to the bomb spot and hold it for a second or 2 before being blown up

But yea our first assault we got nowhere near. With Pro G's first assault I had a torrid time - the bomb guy and his mate behind him were right in front of me and for some stupid reason threw out a grenade before meleeing the bomb guy only to kill him as the timer clocked out and the bomb was successfully deployed.

Err, no gaz, thats not what happened at all...

We talked with them in the lobby and explained the situation; that Raider would be laggy, and that our only alternative was to sub in Bonehead, who wasn't registered for the tournament.

I made it clear that, as per syntax's rules, as long as they agreed about Bonehead playing, and didn't argue the technicality of him not being officially registered after the fixture, then it might be better for all concerned.

They generally seemed quite content to let us play whoever we wanted, though we decided to start with Raider to see if his connection would die - we all agreed that we'd make a decision on subbing him after the 1st game.

However, after that game, when i mentioned it, none of their team raised any objections to Raider carrying on (that I heard), and so we weren't faced with the questionable decision of bringing in Bonehead, which I was quite relieved about to be honest.

Never mind guys, its all water under the bridge now. Lag is just one of these annoying things that us UK gamers are burdened with.

Hopefully NTL will pull their finger out and you guys can enjoy your games all the more as well. Warping round the map is just as annoying for you as it is for the enemy who is trying to shoot you.
