sentient: the only thing I have of interest at the moment to trade is an asteroid, if that's any use to you?

Haven't had any time to visit my town this week, but hopefully tonight I'll pop in and pay off the rest of my current mortgage to Tom Nook.

Yeah maybe. Nook had a moon lander in-store yesterday.

To be honest, until I expand the house i'm looking for more normal items.

sentient, you can't trade Gulliver's items.

In response to some things that Eccentrica Gallumbits said:

If you did the lighthouse properly in January the mayor would have given you a lighthouse model. He does the same thing again sometime in February and that's when he gives you the box of chocolates.

When making a snowman you don't need to be asked by a villager in order for the snowman to send you a present. You just need to get the proportions right.

I don't town models are rubbish. I think they are brilliant. My upstairs is dedicated to my town models.

That's weird - I tried to make a snowman unprompted but the two snowballs wouldn't 'fuse'. Hmm - maybe I'll try again tonight (unless all the snow has melted that is).

I don't think the models are rubbish - they just take up lots of space and aren't particularly pretty. And space is already a big issue for me. My basement and island shack are full of gyroids / wardrobes containing Gracie's clothing / Sahara's carpets / balloons / lottery tickets etc etc and I've currently got about 20 gyriods lying outside which I don't know what to do with. Is that cruel to leave them in the snow?

I really need to make a list of all the types of gyroid 'families' I have, work out which to keep according to aesthetic qualities and noise, but I am concerned that that would make me so anally retentive that I would actually start to 'retain' sofa cuhsions and eventually my entire house including Davros.....

I found that the snowballs only become viable for 'fusing' when they get large enough that you're pushing them along.

That's what I've done heh, in half my basement I've got a lot of the more chimey or musical ones, all on and in sync so they bong in unison, it's quite quite ace. B)

:D You could just sell them. Or keep some in your inventory and talk to animals. They seem to quite like gyroids and faily often offer to buy them or swap something for them. If you just want to keep them in case you want them in the future but don't have anywhere to store them then you could put them in your post office. Just put them in a letter and then save the letter in the post office.

Or do what I did and set up another character in your town called 'Gyroid Master' and have his house as a Gyroid museum.

Once you've paid off all your mortgage money isn't going to be an issue for you, so just trade it to the other character (I like to bury it outside their houses) and upgrade their house all the way - voila, instant Gyroid Museum.

I did the same with some of my rare sets as well - Snowman set, Christmas set, both went together lovely in 'Santa's Grotto'. :(

I've just started playing this today, and I'm quite chuffed because I've only got 9000 left to pay on my mortgage, should have that paid by tomorrow. I've cleaned out the police station already for lost items and sold them all. I don't remember losing any of it, but I don't remember the place that I used to live, so I'm guessing my character has some sort amnesia, like In cold blood. I've picked all the fruit but mas32 says that it would have been better to plant some of it. How many times do trees bear fruit? I was thinking that you could get new fruit every day like in Harvest moon, hope I haven't cocked things up there.

My animals are all quite cool apart from this rhino called spike who doesn't seem to like me at all. He was a bit happier after I'd done him a couple of errands, but he's been in an igloo for most of the evening and I can't complete a couple of ereands which need me to deliver some stuff to him. Grrrr. There's a duck who is already making rumblings about wanting to leave, I think that he might be ok when I manage to get a ball to him. I've booted about 4 into the river so far, the last one was sooooo close, but I slipped up. Maybe tomorrow.

I've noticed that if I save and quit and then come back into the game, then all the shells re-appear on the beach, so I've been clearing out the beach every ten minutes for huge reward. I've dug up all the fossils and found the money hidden in the ground, I feel rather capitalist, but I'm very rich so I don't care :-D

I just wish things would move a bit quicker, I've never come across a game where you have to wait until the next day before you can progess any further, I'm still in harvest moon mode, and I keep expecting the day to end every 20 minutes, but it's totally different.

Enjoying it so far, but if anybody has a spare apple, then send it to Ian at Hades, or maybe 2 so I can plant one, that would be great :-D Also, let me know if anyone would like any cherries, I had loads today, just hope that they re-appear tomorrow

They always regrow fruit. I think it takes 3 days to regrow though

Spike's always grumpy. But I like him like that.

Here's a code for an apple. You don't need 2 because you can reuse the same code as many times as you like:

How can you say the characters are evil? Bluebear and Joey and Olive are, like, amazing. Peach!

I haven't played this for a while, the only reason i kept going for so long was my hate campaign against Hank the chicken. I put up signs saying 'beware of the plague' and 'go home redneck' etc outside his house so he couldn't get out. And when he did squeeze out, I battered him repeatedly with a net and made him fall in pitfalls. He left a couple of months afterwards.

Happy days.

Y'see, this is why Animal Crossing is so great - you always feel your actions are really having an effect on the world. Even if, as I suspect is the case, the animals each have a fixed attitude to you, and no amount of letters or presents really make a difference.
