I think it's just keeping your game fresh. Normally you pay your £40, play the game, then get tired of it and look to spend £40 on some new game to give you your gaming fix again. Here you can spend £3 and get new enjoyment out of your old game.

Anyways, I don't think you can reasonably argue that expansion packs should be free. Developers are under no obligation to make them. It costs them money to make them when they could be working on a full new game to sell at £40.

£3 for more gaming enjoyment? Bargain, I say.

ye but, say for example 3 xtra mission packs for a game comes out, at £3 each.

you brought the game for £40.

£49 does not sound cheap does it ?

You often spend £40 on a game???

* You don't have to buy the mission pack.

* The majority of cases cited here weren't short on content in the first place:

> PGR2

> Links 2004

> GR.

even > Halo 2 - which just feels short of content because we've been playing the same matchmaking playlist for months.

I couldn't agree more. Provided things aren't held back at retail, then why not spend a couple of quid to lengthen the game.

It's (often) three pounds !

Which is peanuts

My local sells some pints of beer which cost more than that.
