Ladies, fear not, for I am here, with this submission entitled: Campfire.

A feat of cross hatching, my eyes are fucked for the weekend.

It's a lovely A3 affair, so apologies for my absolutely wank A4 scan job.

The sky-colouring was a good idea then, I see!

You're welcome

love this, looks great at this point.

Sometimes with work like this, it looks complete as it is without the next level.

but with digital you can always try stuff and go back...

God bless saving, digital cameras, scanners and Cmd-Z. :)

I remember a big talk about at what point is work finished and can you go too far or not far enough.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Thanks for posting up all your work, I love to see what people put in here.

Messing about with custom brushes I made in Photoshop. Trying to make something that behaves a little bit more like a pencil. Not quite there yet.

Any luck with this? No matter how long I spend playing about in Photoshop or Painter I can never get anything that "feels" right to draw with. I always end up back at pencil and paper and just scan that in instead of trying to draw stuff with the tablet.

I've made one or two brushes that seem decent enough, but proper pencil and paper is pretty hard to beat to be honest. For me, the standard set of brushes in Pshop are alright to paint with but not so much for drawing. I don't really use Painter much (the UI is too awkward), but the drawing tools do seem a lot better.

If I can help it though, I'll I usually start on paper too.

Nice pic, btw. I like the jelly guy's shadow :P

Boosh drawing's good.

The talk of custom brushes on here has made me try some of my own. Used a Kurecolor marker and defined it as a brush. Still need to tweak it.

And a doodle I did at work and turned it into something when I got home.

Edit: Yeah the medium sized brush is great, Gunstar. I've got all 3 of the brush sizes.

Excellent :)

I like these dark furry creatures you're doing, Lozzyboo.

Broken Klassic's stuff is like nothing I've ever seen before. I really like it. Keep getting weirder, please.

Thankyouu, that makes it all worth it.

Yeah, I loved it, mainly its tone. I liked the moment with HAL when soon after it's just pitch darkness with sinister, eerie music playing, the same as when the dvd plays before the mgm logo appears. Would've loved to have been sat in a packed cinema at that moment, as well as for the never-ending amazing rush towards the end.
