Been watching through Series One while on the ol' exercise bike this week. The whole thing improves everytime I watch it. Cyberwoman is fucking terrible, but everything else (I' just finished Countrycide) is pretty top notch. Small Worlds and Ghost Machine are especially good.

Bizarre.

Incidentally, I'm not sure anyone gives a shit, but apparently Friday's episode of Eastenders in large part involves two of the characters going to a Doctor Who convention or exhibition, I'm not sure which.

Car crash TV, surely. I may actually watch that for the lulz.

So, is the general consensus that Greeks Bearing Gifts is a bad episode of Torchwood then? Because I remember enjoying it at the time, and I've just watched it again while on the exercise bike and.. well.. I bloody love it.

Was that the Evil Smoking Alien Lesbian one, which revolved entirely around Tosh, the one member of the Torchwood gang who can't act at all?

Yeah, that one was crap. In fact for me personally it was the worst of the whole series. I enjoyed Cyberwoman more than that one.

Nah, Cyberwoman was much, much worse. Cyberwoman is the only one I actually thought was rubbish, consisting as it does of a terrible, nonsensical script and the worst piece of costume design I've seen in a long time. Greeks Bearing Gifts was just dull.

Just so you know there's 2 next too.

I think this is the new format, so you wont end up with a two week wait.

Yeah, but the episode on BBC2 next week is the one that's on BBC3 tonight, so there'll probably be a two week gap for BBC3 at the end of the series.

Yeah but next weeks BBC3 is new.

So there's no reason why it wont continue until the end when BBC2 will show 12, and BBC3 will show 13 (with BBC2 showing 13 the week after).

From memory didn't they show the final 2 episodes together last year?

Correct me, but i'm sure the BBC2 show just now never told viewers they could switch to BBC3?

I was on the phone so might have missed it.

Your wrong they did. I know cuz we recorded the 1st one and watched it 20 min into it's showing, hence when they told us the other episode was on bb3 now we had missed half of it.

Anyway thought it was really good, bit corny but the memory alien guy was a brilliant idea.

Shall we shall that BBC3 episodes must be spoilered?

Episode 5 - Simple, but very good. Poor Ianto...Good enemy of the week. Good exposition/background to losts of characters. (Owen's bit at the table was good). Rhys continues to steal me heart.

Episode 6

Well he'll be back. It also felt really "toned down", but that might be due to Martha and the idea it'll attract more kids. Ended suddenly, but meant to be a 3 parter from memory. Martha's interactions were very good. Nice callback with the snooker game

Adam was easily the best episode of both series so far for me. A great sci-fi premise mixed with a truly heartbreaking story. The next one felt a bit rushed to start with, what with having to

re-introduce Martha, but it soon settled down in to a good piece of hokum. The end came out of no-where, but that worked for me. My jaw was on the floor right up until the credits.

I'd actually grown to like Owen this time around.

I'll keep it spoiler free for the episode BBC3

Bloody hell 2 cracking episodes I thought, Adam let down by Barrowmans lack of acting chops, but still a great episode.

Reset though utterly fantastic IMO.

Martha's references to the Dr and Unit were just great, and the faact that come on she saved the world in S3 remember. Then the ending, I wasnt expecting that I actually dont want him to be dead
