I thought Adam was okay. Some really nice touches, and some really smart direction - the hub looked completely different - but there was a lot of ADR for some reason which spoilt the atmosphere for me.

Loved seeing Martha back, and was actually quite sad about Owen considering he was going to go for a drink with Tosh. Nice symmetry with him telling Tosh he loved her in the episode before too.

Great couple of episodes, though the directing and pacing of the first half of Reset was a tad annoying, but it picked up for the second half.

Should of known something was up when Owen agreed to go out on a date with Tosh, but still a genuinely surprising ending

Yeah but next weeks BBC3 is new.

So there's no reason why it wont continue until the end when BBC2 will show 12, and BBC3 will show 13 (with BBC2 showing 13 the week after).

Yes there is. Never watched Spooks? They always only have the finale on the main channel, even though they show the rest of the eps one ahead on BBC3.

The same will be true of Torchwood, I 100% guarantee it. We'll be looking at a two week break before the finale, if watching on BBC3.

I thought episode five was well ace, although I genuinely don't understand how they could have had several shots of an alien city in the background when that was something RTD said it was impossible to do. The "Ianto does some rape" bit was fantastic, though. Absolutely fantastic.

Episode six, though, well. I thought it was really dull, to be honest. Very Lostesque in its reliance on an EXCITING AND UNEXPECTED ENDING! to disguise the dullness of the first bits.

Fancy a bet?

Given the announcers at the beginning claiming they've "snatched Torchwood and brought it back to it's home" I think it's part of BB3's relaunch.

OK, someone explain Adam to me. As far as I can tell, he only existed while someone remembered him. Hence he "died" at the end when Jack took the memory pill. But where did he come from? Was it something to do with that box? Or was he actually a part of Jack's original childhood, so part of his memories initially? Why was the box full of sand? (Obviously a reference to Jack's beach memories, but I don't really get it). Why did taking the memory pill erase Adam completely, when he'd just written himself into a much older memory?

Either I've missed something fundamental (again) or there were a lot of plot holes in that one. A shame, as it was a very enjoyable episode and I liked some of the subtler points it was making about people's personalities being largely dependent on their memories.

That city reminded me of a building site.

Maybe he didn't so much change old memories as add new ones which masked older ones. Which is why Gwen could eventually recall Rhys - the memory was masked rather than erased.

Watching the Tennant school episode with SJS. The performances and character writing is as beautiful as ever, but I'm enjoying the direction more and not so dissastified about the actual story this time round, although with a bit more thought it could have been more artfully worked in with the character stories. It's a lovely piece of TV though, and I think I'd stick it in my desert island VCR...

I love School Reunion too, don't recall it being very popular on here.

He was in the Void (he said this), and came through the rift (he also said this, and there was a bit of talk about "rift activity two weeks ago, but nothing came through" - Adam came through).
