So, I assume the usual suspects caught this yesterday.

Another great race - Excellent to see Edwards start to show some of his SBK form, and Sete riding like he had a firecracker up his arse, putting in some amazing laps.

However, obviously there can only be one. It felt, yesterday, that Rossi was just taking the piss. You knew he could take Edwards when he felt like it, and allowed Gibernau to catch up, so he could have a bit of racing action in the last few laps. He coumpounded this by setting the lap record in the last lap.

Nicky Hayden needs to start delivering, he was dropped completely by Rossi, GIbernau and Edwards yesterday, not good enough for a Honda factory rider - As for Max, his qualifying let him down, but again, not good enough. (he blamed the team for his poor quali). As Rossi said, Biaggi can have no excuses this year, he has got everything he wanted.

Mugello next, and last season's race was probably the best racing of any sort I have seen in the last decade. Although the rain did help matters with the restart. But seeing the Ducati's hitting 210mph plus down that mile and quarter straight - Wow.

I'd like to see Bayliss start to deliver as well. It's almost embarassing how him and Edwards can be so off the pace.

Plus they don't have the excuse of switching from one type of bike to another, as obviously they are all on four-strokes now. It's like the switch from superbikes to MotoGp was that little bit too much to ask of them.

Agreed re: hayden as well. How disappointing considering how long he has had to adjust, plus he's on a Honda for god's sake. Rossi tore them apart when he used that machine.

Was disappointing seeing Edwards drop off the pace so much toward the end. Oh and I'd like to see Haga back in MotoGP

I think that both Biaggi and Bayliss are on shaky ground with their management and wouldn't be suprised to see either dumped before the year is out. Biaggi blamed the team for sticking the wrong tire type on for qualifying, but I get the impression there are deeper problems there.

Poor old Bayliss is really struggling to alter his style from riding the Ducati, to the Honda. As he found with his bike last year, if he doesn't have the confidence to push, he won't. He's stated he'll retire at the end of this year if he doesn't get back near the top and threaten to win races - so I'd say this will be it for him, if he lasts.

Rossi did seem to stay with Edwards and only pass when Gibernau was directly behind him. He still enjoys riding with others, rather than disappearing into the lead. Shame that Edwards and Hayden were blown away when the real race pace was on. We have (yet again) a two horse race for the championship.

I want to see him go F1 with Ferrari and become an even bigger racing legend!

Mugello is truly the best racing track in the world. It is just immense. Another great race yesterday. Biaggi decided he was going to show us what he could do, Ducati showed us just how fast bikes can go (forumla 1? Pah!), and Rossi showed us why he is the best rider in history.

I love this track, I am definitely going there next year.

That was a class race...really thought Melandri was going to upset things for a while, and the battle between him and Loris in the last laps was great. And as for Rossi putting the move on Max in front of all his own fans, classic...

Well it's all kicking off again on Sunday in Jerez! This is going to be a great season, I can't see Rossi losing, but Melandri is going to give him loads of trouble. Hayden is such a great rider too I hope he gets his shit together this year. So,

I can't believe the BBC don't advertise this more - its an F1 beater, but its up to me to look through the listings to find the next race. If the beeb aren't careful itv (or more likely sky) will nab this from them.

Haslam will do well in BSB, very good chance of the title. BUt i think Lavilla or Kiyonari will make less mistakes.

GP: Melandri, Rossi, Pedrosa will be the ,main three with Edwards, GIbernau, Capirssoi Hyaden et al will chip in with good results

I feel for Rossi (and Gibernau) and it would have been a better race if he was there, but he's becoming evermore the dick each season.

Not sure why you think Rossi is a dick, aside from him being successful. I was very impressed that he actually carried on with a crash-damaged bike and still managed to scrape a couple of points, even if it did push James Ellison one place back. Great racing from Capirossi, stunning starts for both Pedrosa and Casey Stoner, and a surprise performance by Elias once he'd recovered from taking Rossi out.

Good result for Chaz Davies in the 250s on a stock bike, and a good result for Bradley Smith in the 125 GPs as well, just missing out on the points.

BSB was good and is repeated on Sky later, I believe. ITV coverage did suffer a little from being their first time, and the fact the Indy circuit is so short. Good to see a few new faces up front in that championship as well. 2006 is going to be a great season for MotoGP, WSB and BSB.
