What Are You Playing?

I'm (still) doing my MGS marathon, having just got past The Fear and The End in MGS3- probably three hours of gameplay and maybe one five-minute codec call. Fantastic. I forgot to pick up the thermal goggles and couldn't find the sniper rifle, so both battles were particularly challenging and rewarding. Great stuff.

Rockband - finished Guitar Solo on easy and medium working through hard, finished drum solo on easy and medium and working through hard, also progressing slowly through the world tour with my son.

Phoenix Wright Justice For all - On Turnabout 4 now and enjoying it

The World Ends with you - Week 2, Day 2, I hate the new character :(

Currently playing Lego Star Wars and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 both on Xbox 360.

Despite Vegas 2 still being somewhat broken, it's fun on Realistic T-Hunt over Live playing with 3 others and Total Conquest is a fun mode.

Since the COD4 League is dying a slow death :( I don't miss the MP of that much anymore.

Got a PSOne from the trading folder dead cheap so I've been digging out some classics like Soul Blade, Wipeout 2097 and Vib Ribbon today. Lovely stuff.

Also been playing GTAIV (Just completed it), Skate (£18 from Asda!) & PGR4.

Replaying Resident Evil 4: Wii with all my fully upgraded guns which removes teh scare-element but it's still Resident Evil 4 so of naturally it is awesome. Once this is done I'll move onto Professional. Also I'm going through Super Luigi Galaxy but as I'm doing it coop, it is quite slow progress. Lastly Mario Kart Wii has been offering some great online action.

Crush (PSP): Finished it yesterday, it doesn't evolve much after the first few levels, but keeps you thinking throughout. Last level was pretty good, it's the smallest level in the game, but you have to work out your route from 3 different angles at once.

The presentation is ugly, the story is completely irrelevant, there is little in the way of true platform action and yet it's far more satisfying to play than Daxter which is another solid platformer that excels in all these areas. Except Crush isn't really a platformer, it's a puzzle game at heart. I wish they'd made it either more of an abstract puzzle game, or else a less abstract platformer, conceptually, it seems to sit uneasily between the two.

Harvey Birdman (PSP): Don't get the humour, but I'll persevere, it can't be that long, right?

360 - GRID and GTAIV mainly. Gears of War hovering around in the background. Contemplating buying Aces of the Galaxy as well, as I really liked the demo.

Wii - Boom Blox, PES2008, Star Soldier R.

DS - Space Invaders Extreme, Geometry Wars : Galaxies

After leaving my 360 in the UK whilst I'm in HK for the summer I've been playing Super Mario Galaxy for the wii.

I decided that out of the two I'd probably enjoy playing on the wii more and my girlfriend definitely prefers it.

I've only got about 11 stars left to get and my girlfriend just bought me a TV :P

Happy times.

I've also just bought The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass but have yet to start playing it as my girlfriend has decided to a spot of animal crossing gardening. She's been playing it almost every day for about 8 months.

Just finished Assassins Creed last night. The ending was a bit WTF, but other than that (and the crazy stupid amount of fighting that you gotta do in the final few hours of the game), I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Still also playing lots of multi-player Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Only four stars left on Super Mario Galaxy. I'll finish that as soon as I get home

I started playing The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass in bed last night. My girlfriend absolutely loved watching me play it and has nicked the ds and taken it to work!

Hopefully she'll be nice enough to start a new save file so that I continue from where I left off.

I only played it for about 45 minutes but already know I'm going to enjoy it.

Ninja Gaiden 2 - I love this as much as I am shit at it. Wading through on Warrior difficulty with a comedy ammount of deaths on my stats. Just reached the start of Level 8 and achieving some kind of basic competence...

Gears Of War - Can't see myself stopping playing this online any time before Gears 2.

Wipeout Pulse - Manages to improve on Pure, which was a brilliant return to form itself.

Cho Ren Sha 68k / Parsec 47 - finally set my HoriEx2 stick up on my PC so revisiting my two favourite PC shooters.

Civ Rev and Battlefield:BC are getting bought - good month for games.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl in multi-player at every single opportunity presented to me. I've just started Football Manager 2008 with a couple of my brothers which is fun but a bit hardcore. And I've just started The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker again, I'm determined to finish it this time as well. Once I'm done with WW I'll move on to TP and then Okami. Good times ahead. ;)

I just finished Frontlines - really enjoyed it. Back to basics FPS with some lovely open play.

MGS has failed to get me gripped, so prolly gonna sell. GTA I have finished, but don't really plan on going back to until the extra content.

Currently - looking forward to Frontlines 2!
