At the moment:

Doom 3 (Xbox) - Even my new PC wasn't really up to the job (bloody rubbish HP Radeon X300 graphics card in otherwise state of the art computer) - so this is my first play through. Really enjoying it so far - basic but so well executed.

Star Wars Lego (Xbox) - Skipped through episode I having a whale of a time. Charming in the extreme and worth £20 of anyomes money.

DMC3 (PS2) - shelved this in favour of the superior God of War but following completeing that now heading back to tackle the second half. Too unforgiving but still has the edge.

Xenosaga Episode II - saving the second disk of this for my forthcoming week off work. Not convinced by the alterations to the central gameplay or the character designs but the story remains second to none.

I have succumbed to the irresistable attraction of World Of Warcraft.

Any game that can replace my GameCube for even a day deserves my greatest respect.

Just finished: Resi 4.

MGS3.

Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga for the 3rd time - the script-writers for that game deserve some kind of award. It's one of the few games which actually makes me laugh out loud - and all the time it makes a mockery of the cliches of the Nintendo franchise...

Magical.

A 6600GT is a superb value GFX card for Doom III. Mine handles Ultra settings no problem and I only have an AthlonXP 3000 and 1GB of cheapo RAM.

After playing a grand total of one game (WoW) for one month in 2005 I have finally found a 2nd game worth playing. Winning Eleven 8 International. In has most of the flaws of PES4 but all is forgiven once patched. It's nice to play with teams in their proper shirts and players with proper names. Nice animation + it looks brillant on a PC monitor instead of a TV.

I've been gorging on my new psp, as well as the new Splinter and the (ever present) social Pro Evo 4 sessions. I'm looking forward to buying World of Warcraft but the uni firewall won't allow it and it'll be too much of a distraction from exams as well. I'm sure it will make for great summer gaming

My XBox has finally been earning its keep as home of the third party over the last few weekends.

It's amazing what people conciously choose to put in their games.

Like that bit in Sands of Time (which I played this weekend) where you ride the tower lift, which shows up everything which is wrong with the buddy AI (which just stands there and takes a beating), the camera (which is rubbish in enclosed, tight spaces) and the combat (every instance of which lasts about three times as long as it needs to, with that utterly wanky, wanky, wanky teleporting).

And the crane bit in Manhunt, which I just finished this afternoon. I'm still digesting the experience; discovering control type 2 around about the time you start getting guns; the fantastic atmosphere present throughout Carcer City; the tension which held out right until the end of the game, despite the essentially very simple basis of the gameplay; the meaty combat - quite literally, if you're close enough for a headshot. Aces.

So I've only got Tenchu: Return From Darkness on the go now. I know there have been a few more Tenchu games since the first, which is the only one I've played, so I'm quite confused by the fact that it seems to be a direct sequel to the first game. It still feels pretty similar, with some of the same sounds and remixed music; and it's still fun in the same flawed but enjoyable manner. There's just enough new stuff in there to keep it interesting for someone who played the first one to death.

I forgot all about Jade Empire. I'm sort of dipping into it everynow and again. I don't think it is quite *good* enough to have me hooked or to enjoy it from start to finish, if you get me. 'tis good though, I enjoy the "fuck me, look how many quests I have to do... what to do!?!" stuff though, heh.

I keep dying though. Really stupid things. It's 3D combat, I reckon, but then I did twig that I could use chi and focus to alter my attack/power, etc... I are teh n00b.

Forza is nice though.

I was playing Forza all day yesterday and was still playing it last night because I had to stay up til 2 to phone my parents in the states, and ended up falling asleep in my computer chair in front of the telly.

It's a damned addictive game I'm telling ya

(Nearly) completing Snake Eater (yes.. I know... but the final boss is difficult :P )

I'm near the end of Oddworld:Stranger (on the 'home stretch' bit - HOW hard?!?! whoosh!) and slowly working through Republic Commando which is more enjoyable than I expected.

And back to Halo2 since stats have reset.
