What Are You Playing?

XB: Third Strike (obv.)

DS: New SMB (hopefully I'll be getting a new title this week, so I can break the habit.)

PC: Half-Life 2: Episode 1 (well, replaying...going back to the better chapters), Frets on Fire (good fun if a little painful at times),

Also PC: DeSMume (because I didn't believe that there was even a slight amount of playability yet but I've just used it to try the Canvas Curse demo; albeit with no sound and a naff framerate)

Rhythm Tengoku (GBA) - Some people claim they can no longer enjoy a game unless it comes in HD with 5.1 sound and achievement points and the ability to turn their console off from the controller. Rhythm Tengoku shows why these people are contemptible idiots who deserve to die painfully from cancer. Pure joy from begining to open end and it only requires a Game Boy Advance and a pair of headphones to make it work.

Dead Rising (360) - What absolute moron decided to make the text unreadable at 480i/p? The resolution that most people buying this game will be playing it in? I'll buy it in 10 years time for 50p when I have an HDTV or if they release a patch in the meantime.

Super Metroid (SNES) - Trying to convnce a Mega Drive fangirl how utterly awesome this is, but she won't have it. FOOL.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

Its great isnt it? Ive never played it before...

.::: It's 200,9% great. :)

Playing wipEout purE (PSP) at the moment. Neglected it a bit too much last year and having downloaded all the packs from that PSP Store it's like a whole new game.

Finished Trauma Center last week and have returned to a long left quest for 150 stars on Mario 64 DS. I've got 15 to go or something. I'm only playing my DS at the moment, anything else seems too much like hard work and too uncomfortable compared to bed-based DSing.

Playing a couple at the moment

Links 2004 - Xbox. Just playing through the various single player modes, kills a few hours everyday.

Capcom Classics Remixed - PSP. Giving this a go for review, only quibble are the loading times which to me seem quite long, but there again i've been playing the DS recently

Recently ignored the forum griping and bought a PSP, promptly bought up a range of games, failed to put on a hori screen protector (bloody thing's covered in dust - if anyone knows a way to get the thing boxfresh again I'd appreciate a PM) and actually love the thing to pieces. Maybe I have a tumour.

Anyway, mostly playing Wipeout Pure, Monster Hunter (getting past the learning 'curve' now) and the sublimely old school Megaman Powered Up.

Resident Evil 4 all the way at the moment. It didn't click when I got it a year ago and sat in the pile unloved until a random 'I fancy another go at that' moment after flicking through the RE4 thread. I'm on the 5th chapter now and want to finish it so I can play it again!

Guitar Hero now and again too - I can 5 star a fair few songs on medium but still can't do Bark At The Moon.

Still playing EvE online, Battlefield 2 on Sundays, just started Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes and LOtR: The Third Age. Also playing Skies of Arcadia Legends. I like to mix things up a bit

.::: We'll see you back after Moria then.

PSP Riiiiiidge Raaaacer! Trying to win my second concept car, the Angelus. Proper hard. It's been easy going up until now, too. Great game; can hardly believe it was a launch title!

Not much else, yet. Only leisurely playing Guitar Hero now as I'm sure I'll never do the last five songs on expert mode.

Got God of War and Resi 4 on their way to me soon.

Ninja Gaiden (Very Hard) - finally beat Alma and am progressing onwards. When I get brutally stuck, I put on RE4, play for half an hour late at night then find myself unable to sleep. Brilliant game though. That fucking chainsaw guy at the start literally killed me over and over again until I eventually survived to a mental cheer of "Fuck yeah!".

Gamecube

Resi 4 (Normal) - 2hr 30mins in, just beaten first boss. Favourite game of this generation.

Zelda: WW - Just beaten the first dungeon you go to after getting the boat, its great but the first boss was such a chore (Waiting for it to do certain attack patterns stretching the fight out to 20mins long) I'm in a mood with the game currently.

Paper Mario - 20hours in, have got 5 crystal stars. Its my favourite RPG ever!

DS

NEW Super Mario - On the final world, on the last 'stretch' to the last level, I'm obviously gonna go back for the 2 extra levels and the gold coins once I've done it.

Phoenix Wright - Have completed the first 2 cases, what an enjoyable, easy to play while smoking game this is!

Back to my first love...Half-Life 2...whilst being tempted with loadnig up Ep1 and watching the first bit.

That and some sodding 'bounce' game on my mobile phone - which is the most awfully addictive thing I think I've ever played...I'm getting the hands of an 80 year old...

I'm such a cripple (literally).

Fallout 2 at the minute. I've actually just finished it, but I'm going to go through it again using a different type of character, probably a less than intelligent hand to hand and melee expert.

It's certainly something special.
