He may not have signed but I'd be a lot happier as a West Ham fan being £30m into Zouma than £50m into Ben White.

Took a look at our new japanese defender stats on smarter scout site and he scores pretty low defensively and attacking output. Maybe he can take throw ins properly which makes him an upgrade over Bellerin.

Do those stats really show 'great' at RCB or just 'not as crap' as the other positions? And you don't need a CB with White now, do you?

Dunno, smarter scout are used by a lot of clubs so for him to be tagged by them shows some promise, but young players can be a bit up and down when coming thru, especially if changing clubs.

I'm sure stepping into our well drilled water tight rearguard at a booing Emirates will bring the best out in him when Poundland Pep gives him his debut as a left winger before falling out with him at half time.

Nice stat from the first 3 games, we've created the least and conceded the most xG in the league, so none scored and loads in is exactly what we deserve at this point.

I loved the guy and I’m sad he’s left. He’d lost a yard but was still comfortably our best right back and just a good presence at the club. Alarm bells should be ringing at the amount of players for whom Arsenal clearly means a lot that are abandoning the place like a fire at a canned fart factory.

No bad feelings towards Bellerin at all, wish him all the best.

He is really emblematic of the era at the club during his stay, great potential, flashes of talent but overall not achieving what he probably is capable of and looked pretty cheesed off with it all at the end and had a sloppy attitude - shame that he'll be remembered for 5 foul throws in a season (more than any other team combined).

The coaching at the club clearly failed him, and I think he just got mired in the late Wenger era slack attitude of no clashes in the dressing room and polite people all being nice to each other. It didn't make him a better player that a shark pit like Chelsea may have.

I don't think players are buying into what Arteta has laid out. Not just those desperate to escape, but the players on the pitch don't look like they have a clue what they are meant to be doing.

The fact the manager has come in with no prior experience as a manager and then started alienating players left, right and centre can't be helping the players buy in either. It's clear he favours certain players over others, some will get chance after chance after chance, where as some he just will not use and if he does it's one game and then they are out of the team and don't make the next match day squad.

Edu is just terrible at his job, so many players now that should have been sold will now leave for free at the end of the season.

I don't think Edu is very good at all, but when you see the packages players like Kolasinac and Nketiah were demanding it's no wonder they're still here. I like Eddie a lot, but he's listened to some terrible advice in not moving to Palace and will now spend the season rotting away on the bench. At that age that can be a death sentence on your career and he really needed to be more realistic. Kola on the other hand was working everyone from all angles – pay off from us, £3m a season and a £3m signing bonus to pal around with his mate in a tin pot league in the sun. I think he'd banked on them not having seen him play football before.

I try to imagine the situation that Edu is in, sure he talked himself into a very highly paid job but we're in that horrible middle ground now of getting shafted both ways on transfers, we have to over pay to get players to sign (clubs know we have money, are desperate and players want £££ convincing) and then on the outgoing side we've got a hugely overpaid squad of average filler that clubs know we are desperate to move out so lowball us on offers, but also don't want to pay the wages of players who haven't been performing to the level of their paypacket.

There is a greater fool situation going on here and unfortunately we've not been able to find them, which means it's us.

it's a quite different conversation when you call Edu as opposed to calling Liverpool who every youth team player is 'very highly thought of by Jurgen and on the brink of the first team' and clubs like Sheffield/Bournmouth are happy to spunk £25m up the wall thinking they are stealing a gem from them.

He has a pattern of behaviour that makes me think he's just incredibly self-obsessed. His ridiculous persecution complex coupled with being a complete simpleton certainly don't help either. It's my firm belief the club will erect a giant bronze statue of this imbecile depicting the time he told his own supporters to fuck right off and plonk it outside the newly christened Dignitas North Stand.

  • 2 weeks later...

Don’t ask me why, but I reckon Tommy Tiramisu is going to make himself a hero today. The narrative is all set – that mob wanted him and it’s his first NLD. Looks like he’s up for the scrap too. 45 yard overhead bullet header or something.

Going to need a couple of goals today at least as despite giving up all hope of a successful club career Kane will get his customary scuffer through muscle memory alone and Xhaka is bound to give up a penner. Will have to settle for 27–2 I guess and focus on a clean sheet next week.

Fair play guys well deserved win, but let’s be honest here, we are playing so badly that we would have made a Sunday league team look like Barcelona.

Thought you were going to royally thump us but turns out you only had three goals in you and the ref on your side 😜
