Btw since I've had a pop at his form recently, it's only fair to point out that Squillaci played well last night, the best I've seen him in a long time.

Wasn't too impressed by him pounding the ball up to Begovic twice when we got posession in the last 15 minutes.

Goal kicks are legit attacking opportunities for Stoke.

And yet, incredibly believable.

Oh well, if Theo hadn't hadn't have been injured too then we still could have kept our shape with Nasri moving inside and Arshavin filling in on the left. Now presumably we're bringing in one of the walking disaster areas, Denilson or Diaby. I'm still confident we'll have enough to win though.

I always felt that Diaby just needed a decent run in the side without injury, not sure that ever gonna happen though. Denilson on the other hand is a lost cause...

Diaby is a million times more frustrating than Denilson because he's obviously got something. His touch is amazing, he can beat a man and has a great shot on him but he doesn't seem able to put that all together consistently. I do feel for the bloke as it's not his fault some thug snapped him in half halting his development for about 3 years, but that's no excuse for some of the things he has continued to do since he turned up, like holding onto the ball forever and being dead sloppy with procession in key areas. He just puts my nerves on edge when he's in our own half. If he can stay fit he'll certainly become a very good player.

Denilson is just hopeless though. I fully expect him to move on this summer as I just don't see where he fits in any more once Ramsey comes back.

I'm certainly no fan, but I feel it's only fair to point out that Denilson played really well when he came on last night. His endless short sideways passes can be infuriating at times but he definitely helped shore up the midfield and gave a much-needed bit of defensive protection.

Anyway I guess team will probably be Szczesny; Sagna, Djourou, Koscielny, Clichy; Song, Diaby, Wilshere; Nasri, Bendtner, Arshavin

It should be good enough but obviously with Chamakh looking jaded of late and Bendtner being Bendtner, it'd be great if van Persie was passed fit. If the midfield is how it is above, it'll be a huge game for Wilshere. He'll have to be more ambitious than normal with his passing otherwise we could struggle in the same way we did last night.

He has been injured yeah. If he doesn't make it either then I guess it's 90 minutes of Denilson, as I think Wenger would probably be more cautious than to stick Rosicky in there. And if Wilshere the playmaker just isn't working out then he'd always have that option from the bench.

Fabregas's personal trainer has said he could make it.

Hehe, just saw that. Hands up who secretly thought that might be the case? *hand up*

And Walcott? *hand up*

;)

Wenger should name him on the bench and bring him on the 93rd minute if the game's won, just so he can lift the cup.

This is so true.

I just hope we win something so people can stop referring to that frankly embarrassing FA Cup win 6 years ago when we got totally bumraped for 120 minutes and somehow sneaked off with the pot at the end.

Brilliant day that was, the atmosphere during the pens was absolutely immense. We may have nicked it but we've been done over similarly enough times.

We were set up to ride whatever Man United could throw at us that day anyway, what with a 451 with Silva and Vieira alongside a young Fabregas, Bergkamp playing the lone striker role. Dennis was many many great things as a player, but he wasn't really a lone-striker.
