If the Mata rumours are true and Cesc goes I'll be really happy with the club as that'd be good business. It would also give nasri and probably arena in the chance to play in the centre more as I would assume mata would play wide left alot, though I could be wrong! It would definitely ease the Cesc departure and please fans.

I know Arshavin got a lot of flack last season but Gervinho will have to go some to match his figures.

I'll put 50p on Gervinho to do better next season than any season of Arshavin's. Using, say, Fantasy Premier League as a measure (which loves Arshavin due to his patchy performances getting him bonus points).

He only got 8 bonus points last season, the 6 goals and 11 assists did the trick.

10 goals and 18 assists is hard to argue with. I agree his overall game wasn't fantastic but sometimes you need someone who will just do what he did.

Is it me or does the price touted around seem well off when you look at whats happening at the moment. I'd have pegged him as a 20-25m man in the current climate.

I still think Gervinho will be better. He basically reversed those stats at Lille - 15 goals, 10 assists. Getting an assist at the end of last season was just passing it to RVP.

I think you need to take into account that he's played very different football for most of his life. One that's not about expending all of your energy, but about waiting for the moment to pounce and deliver the killer ball or crisp finish.

Totally. He was quality when he was just the Spanish guy from Revista la Liga, now he thinks he's the fucking oracle of espana.

Similar deal with Sam Wallace since he started going on that one on sky where they talk about the stories in the paper, he's turned cunt too.
