Top 5 Rainy Day Songs...

I'm trying to do a post on my favourite 5 rainy day songs but can't think of any at the mment and wondered what other people thought. So far I have decided on Interpol's 'NYC' and maybe 'Return to Innocence Lost' by The Roots, definately 'Crazy for You' by Ulrich Schnauss.

What does everyone else think?

Oh, okay. I definately have music for sunny days and then music for rainy days. Music can be listened to whatever the weather, but certain music sounds better in certain weather.

A ridiculous cliché, but Riders on the Storm, surely? One of the most atmospheric songs ever written.

Great track, but I kinda find that a sunny one, probably due to its similarity to 'Everybody Wants To Rule The World' (one of the best summer tunes ever!)

I listened to the whole Arcade Fire album walking home in a torrentual downpour with no umbrella, it worked great. Especially Wake Up.

I'll say The Last Time I Saw Richard, off of Joni Mitchell's Blue album. It's a brilliant song for that introspective, not-wanting-to-go-out feeling.

It's okay to like naff songs. I have some Girls Aloud on my iPod, but of course if anyone wanted to have a flick through my music, I'd be desperately hoping they'd completely miss Girls Aloud and instead notice the Pixies and Bach and Dylan etc etc...

You'll get me thinking about that Mint Royale remix from the car ad. I bought that as a download but they'd ditched all the vocals. That annoyed me.
