I hate him too. It's music for soppy women who wish that a man would sing like that to them. Urrrgh.

Beach boys - Good vibrations!

I sing to my women like Barry White*

* In my dreams

Anyway :-

Stevie Wonder - Talking Book

Shins - Chute's Too Narrow and Oh ! Inverted World

Magic Numbers - Magic Numbers

Chuck Berry - Golden Decade

Joy Zipper - Heartlight Set

That's not really funny is it.

You ABSOLUTE wanker.

It's not funny that people have to listen to him whilst i'm in the vicinity. That's whats not funny. If he was killed in the army - I wouldn't have to worry!

You see where I'm comming from now jah?

Yeah... you're right... joking about people being killed in wars is funny after all!

My dad was in the army and was killed in battle.

Trojan Dub Boxset

I never saw the attraction of dub before buying the Trojan Boxset a few months back, perfect summer music.

The Trojan box sets are aces, so many of them (50 at last count) and dirt cheap too

Johnny Clarke - Dreader than Dread. Sweetest reggae voice this side of Horace Andy

Stevie Wonder - Everything he recorded up until 1980 which is when acknowledged wisdom has it that he was abducted by aliens, had all his songwriting talent removed and replaced by syrup

Voices of East Harlem - Right on Be Free. Just funks like a bitch

Oh, and Nilson's 'Everybody's Talkin' on endless repeat

There's actually been a lack of summery hip-hop, unlike last year :(

It's why I've been getting into funk and soul so big lately. Does anyone have any clues on summery hip-hop from 2005? At all?

:(

EDIT: I'm looking forward to buying Common's album, actually. Just been broke lately. I saw someone mentioning it earlier here. I wasn't actually expecting it to be summery. If it is, then bonus :D

A bit nice Brazilian jazz from Anotnio Carlos Jobim (The Red Blouse) - some real nice cafe vibe stuff. Mellow, nice chords and strings with some light drums.

Jamiroquai, Stevie Wonder, Mizell Bros, etc.

Mainly light Jazz though. Something mellow but tuneful.
