Stop being a faggot, James. It's the same music you'll get on the CD. I couldn't find it, though. I hate SolarSeek; it never bloody works.

Hey Glover! You don't need to use solarseek anymore, it's horrible.

There's a semi-official mac client now called Soulseex, and it's not bad at all. The interface isn't as straightforward at the PC cleint, but at least searches work.

There's a torrent now.

That should help get it into the hands of more people. I'm happy to wait for the real thing (what's 2 more months - it's been about 3.5 years since the last one after all) but I am curious to read some opinons about it. Of course, it might not be real...

BOC must be one of the easiest groups to produce a fake advance LP for - almost anything that's a bit squelchy, downtempo and 'pastoral' will have people scratching their chin and wondering

The one I have is different from that, weirdly - didn't get it from a torrent or Soulseek, mind. I'm sure all will be revealed in October...

Thats the same tracklisting that Warp has.

Why would they advertise a wrong LP on their own site?

Also why would someone so WANT so sound like BOC?

Because that LP does seem like the kinda stuff - esp. Chromakey Dreamcoat.

Thats an ace track. Outta tune synths and everything.

Not sure I've got you here, the fake has just had it's ID3 tags altered to match the track names posted on the Warp site nón?

One of the most popular features of Computer Music is the Sound Like... section. It's also the same reason the Virus is such a popular instrument in dancey circles, more or less. Well that and I believe it is a great synth. :(

Rins posted the orignal LP. But he said it LOOKs like this...but it looks the same - he's implying that the LP with those track names are fake - but they're not.

So how can he tell its a fake (unless he means the blank tracks!)

The version i've got is exactly the same (with the empty files and hidden track) - i'd be suprised if it wasn't them.

And theres no way they've used real instruments solely either.

Defo. some synth action going on on the version i have.

If its the right one.

*Edit you might be right....mine could be a fake* - its not bass heavy.

Does track 2 have voice samples being delayed throughout?

("i was kinda on my own")

And the hidden track, i could go to sleep listening to that. Its quite nice.

And they've pinched an idea of mine in Sherbert Head too. Bastards.

I knew i shoulda release an electronica EP. Mines more lush though.

I've just played Sherbert head backwards. Not sure what they've done. They've got the main chords playing backwards, as is the beat, the beat also sounds backwards - when reversed to play forwards but the notes are on time, so its defo. a reverse loop.

It's a fake, containing Freescha and Arovane stuff - quite convincing though. There are at least three fakes around at the moment, no way of knowing for sure unless Warp posts soundclips up in advance...

Well.... you said it.

You said that that tracklisting was fake, so i presume if you download the version with your shown tracklisting, its a fake right?

But warps site also has that track listing - so you don't know if it is.

What sad cunt would go to all the trouble of putting together a fake album just to fool people on the Internet prior to its release?

Didn't they do it with Auteche's last Album?

The tracklist is right. Someone just used fakes and renamed them.

I was showing that the style that they'd be named in was fake.

ie. track no. Boards of Canada - track name (length)

In reference to the torrent.
