Make of this what you will: Piven desperately wanted her to play his character's wife after they'd worked together on OLD SCHOOL.

To the extent that the first scene they filmed with her, they had another actress at the location ready to step in, should Perry Reeves not be able to make it in time. Reason being that she was in the middle of filming Mr & Mrs Smith and on those productions, leaving set early isn't allowed.

Finally finished this, can't decide if it's a good show or not. Overall the characters are pretty likeable albeit vacuous but it kept me entertained I suppose.

Vince's "addiction" storyline was awful though.

I think I also give it an easy ride due to Ari being so great.

Wouldn't watch again.

I was all ready to say that they've missed their moment for this, but then I watched the trailer and it made me realise we had some good times with the gang. Sure, the last season was a bit naff but it was still very watchable.

Exactly this. Can't wait for it now! When's it due?

Oh, and what's ridiculous is that I watched Entourage years back, then for the first half of this year lived in Medellin, and completely forgot it was in Entourage. :lol: Only realised now that it was in the show at all because of that trailer. Deary me.

If you are a fan of the show, you will like the film. This only is for the fans, came out here a couple of weeks ago. Packed theatre and people loved it because they were fans. It is like one long episode, the film doesn't bring anything new but it is a whole lot better than the last season.

This is the first time where I was wildly in disagreement with one of his teardowns.

The male characters are very flawed, with Turtle and Drama being straight-up losers and hangers-on for the majority of the show.

Whilst the woman are treated as sex objects sometimes, they generally hold the power. The obvious one is Mrs Ari, but there's also Sloan, Shauna and Sasha Grey.

Mark was always going to hate it, his politics are hard left, esp on gender. He's not a lad's lad, he hates "bants", he's as beta as beta can be. I find it fairly hypocritical consider he embeds himself in Hollywood for his job, and 99% of films are superfluous empty nonsense, yet he singles this out.

I haven't seen the film, but I'd imagine there's a bit of fan wish-fulfilment and it's not going to have the ability to convey an 8 season arc of character nuances or why we've grown to love them, despite their flaws.

I liked the show until the last two seasons when it fell apart for me. What carried the show for me was Ari and Drama being great characters with some fantastic and funny lines, plus some decent support from Lloyd. The other main guys Vince, E and Turtle just seemed awful. Plus the guys playing them were terrible actors. The show did just become, something bad happens with Vince, whats going to happen to the guys crazy lifestyle....oh its ok its fixed now in one episode. Seems the movie has the same plot.

I'll watch it when it turns up on Netflix and hopefully have a few laughs. I can see why Mark hates it though.

One of the women you choose is a porn star that's portrayed as nothing more than a sex object throughout. And is Sloan the best example of a positive female character? She spends her whole time on screen whining and splitting E up from "the lads" and all anyone says about her is how hot she is.

I watched the whole show aside from the last series and enjoyed it for what it was but it is misogynistic. You just have to accept that and try and concentrate on Jonny going bananas.

Ten seconds and he hates it. :lol: I forgot this came out and just watched it, great fun and exactly what an Entourage film should be. It wrapped everything up nicely and I'm happy they did get to do this, the show had run its course. Where is Thierry Henry? I didn't spot him in the film, just in the credits. Same with Mike Tyson and a few others.
