Luke Wilson Cried When He Was Banned From Playboy Magazine

By Staff

Jun 13, 2007

Luke Wilson cried when he was banned from the Playboy mansion. The 'Vacancy' star admitted he was distraught when he was blacklisted from the infamous bachelor pad for trying to crash a party pretending to be his actor brother Owen.

Luke was so upset he called owner Hugh Hefner to beg for forgiveness. He is quoted by the Daily Record newspaper as saying: "I phoned Hugh and apologised. I may have even cried."

Well, I thought that was brilliant. Completely different to any other episode of the show. I notice that Perry Reeves has replaced Debi Mazar in the opening credits, too. Looks like we'll be seeing a lot more of Mrs. Ari.

Drama's cameo was great, too

Aye, real nice change of pace - typically Vince's movies are all shot "off screen" when the show's on hiatus, so it was cool to see some more of him working.

Although he's a crap actor it turns out, isn't he? Who is he scaring with that whiny voice? That's no drugs baron!

He's always been awful - both Vince, and the chap playing him - but I like to hope it's some self referential irony on the state of Hollywood's A list.

Perhaps.

I wasn't too sure if Vince's make-up and the quality of the film were supposed to be poor for comedy purposes but am thinking they were! It was a good episode although not as good as the usual LA ones. And yes, the Columbian lassy was stunning.

What else has the Billy Walsh actor been in before?

He was Chandler's crazy flatmate in Friends when Joey moved out (Eddie?)

Edit: Wait I'm thinking of the guy who plays Nick Rubenstein (the Jewish financer).

According to tv.com Billy is played by Rhys Coiro, and he has been in Six Feet Under, Ugly Betty, CSI.

Even though its meant in a derogatory way i think "suit" is a cool nick name

The Secret Of My Success, right Marty?

I can't help but feel that the episode was a wasted opportunity. Perhaps the episode's director didn't have the balls Billy Walsh has - he could have made the episode feel even more like a documentary - use different cameras, more handheld shaky cam stuff etc.

Also this episode is too condensed - they had a lot of material that they could have used and run it over a few episodes - trouble with the Columbian army, for instance - preparations going wrong or even, a kidnapping of the beautiful girl that sends Walsh into a further meltdown.

As it stands though, it is a good episode and has certainly not helped my addiction to the Entourage world.

I imagine that we'll see less and less risk taking in the camera work department now. People in the US pay a premium for their HD channels and lots of them seem to expect a pristine clear picture at all times now. Friday Night Lights got slated early on purely because of how it was shot.

I was expecting Billy to give Eric more grief during the filming process, maybe editing will cause a fist fight. That's the stuff I was hoping for.

Yeah i agree, they could have done few episodes of documentary type stuff, its good that they did try something different but could have made more of teh opportunity, but maybe they couldnt.

And it is Drama that says that line at the end about killing these motherfuckers right?

Omg the next episod eis minutes away from being downloaded! :)

Yes, it was Drama at the end. I always think of Drama being based on Kevin Dillon, so feel kind of sorry for him and all the shit that happens to him. Then I saw that new show on E4 last week with Donnie Whalberg and remembered that it's actually based on him. Much funnier.

Was the Colombian girl Sophia Vergara? Nobody seems to have mentioned it if she was.
