Ah, the memories....

Stay with it, man. Eventually it'll click. Oh, and wear headphones if you weren't already. It actually helps.

I got to RSG late last night, it's a total bitch when it get's s.l.o.w.

But i'll get it.

The great thing about Ouendan, is that you actually fell yourself getting better after every go. :o

EDIT: Apart from last night where - after an hour or two of playing - i couldn't hit any of the targets. I Actually couldn't hit anything anymore. So i had to have a rest. :)

Can anyone who has done it on Normal (RSG) tell me

I can now get to the bit when I appear to be just doing circle bits.

Is that the end?

No, two thirds.

Currently stuck on the Mouse vs. Man and Police vs. Robotic Horde levels (they're really bloody hard) on insane and decided to go back to easy to see how easy it really is and bugger me is it hard to do, the circles get small sooo slowly it's unbelievable.

I think that bit just after the circles (but before the cutscene) is where I died the most.

Just to offer encouragement, y'know.

I'm a bit confused. I'm on the diarrhea level, and some of the notes have a pulsing circle instead of the standard shrinking one. I get it when it's laid out like this:

(1) (4)

It means tap note '1' three times and then tap '4', I think. But sometimes there's just a single note with a pulsing circle labelled '1' and no matter what I do, I can't seem to hit it. What do those ones mean?

It's overlayed, as in there are four notes in that place so you have to tap there in time 4 times. Getting the timing right on those ones is a cunt.

Hurray, I beat it! I love games like this. Just finishing a song makes you feel like the most dexterous person alive.

E-bay was a godsend for me, cheap and no bloody risk of duty.

elmo, they are doing a kind of 'sequel' (different scenarios, characters and music) called 'Elite Beat Agents'.

US release date is November 6th. Really looking forward to it.

Making my way through hard mode now. Some of the songs I can nail on the first try (like the ghost story) and some of them I have to replay 10 or 15 times (e.g. the train ride). I guess some rythms just click with me and some don't. Weird.

Edit: Ha! Just got my first S rank for ghost story on Hard ;)

Over the distance its called btw.

Yea that's the one.

The difficulty really is all over the place though. Over the distance is so easy and the next one (cops vs. giant robots) is hard as fuck. I can combo the first three episodes without missing a beat and still only have about 25% energy left going into the final chapter. How annoying

Edit: Haha, 5 minutes later and I've cracked it^^ I think I'm in love with this game!

Edit: 15 minutes later - Hard mode is mine :( Next up: insane mode :(

I'm getting worried about this game now.

After a two-week love affair, i'm finally starting to crack. I don't think i'll ever be able to complete RSG on Normal - let alone on Hard and Insane modes. It's got to the pooint where i wasn't missing a single note (i died with a 227 Combo) but it's now a case of hitting only 300's to progress. I tried for over 2 hours last night and i got as far as the 3 spinners, and no further.

I thought i would have a 'rest', so i went on to 'Over The Distance', to get my first S rank, and for a further two hours, failed to do even that. (I got as good as 117 300's, and 4 100's = NOT EVEN CLOSE TO AN S RANK).

So i went to bed in a bad mood. :(

Please tell me that you guys went through the same thing i'm going through now. Please. PLEASE. :D:(

Oh yes.

I got into an even badder mood when I went back to Insane mode after a few weeks' break and couldn't do it anymore. Drove me up the wall. Every attempt got worse and worse as I just got more and more annoyed at not being able to do it anymore.

Take a rest and come back to it refreshed. Finishing Normal mode is quite a hurdle, but it's joyous from then on.

I lost it :D

Not as in I chucked my DS out the window after failing Hard RSG in the first 8 seconds again but as in I went on holidays with it and lost the cart somewhere. Balls.
