To get to the cave of ordeals you have to firstly deal with a certain misplaced object in the desert.

I think you may be at the section where you have to obtain a cannon ball from further afield - remember the ball does not get destroyed in discharging the cannon.

how do you get reid of the object or will it all come clear later also i am not sure waht you mean.

Its similar to the unfreezing situation earlier in the game

get up close to it and Midan will suggest it does not belong here and you should figure out its the missing bit of the Bridge of Eldin - you might need to have defeated the enemies at the north end of the bridge first so as to open up a portal there

souter: Are you talking about

getting a cannonball for the first cannon? (edit: first cannon you come across, rather than the first you use.)

If so

There is a key for the locked door buried in the snow, dig it out. You will find a cannonball in that room, put it into the contraption on the wall to pass it through to the outside.

Wow. This the dungeon with

soup

yes?

I'm halfway through that and I hate it. I've not felt inclined to play for a few days now as just don't find this dungeon much fun. I've got the weapon but I'm pretty much stuck for things to do now and loads of bits are quite ruthless (like falling off a platform and having go through 6 rooms to try again).

Hmm, wonder if you're stuck at the same bit I was. It was the only bit of the game I had to ask for help with, drew the problem for holly and she got it instantly, I just couldn't see it. So frustrating. Liked the dungeon overall though.

Finished! Nintendo give good Credits :P

Still got 10 Poes to find, and there is a chest in the fountain outside South Hyrule Castle Town which is still puzzling me, but essentially I've done everything.

Not sure where I'd place Twilight Princess overall. I really, really enjoyed it, and certain aspects were the best in the series so far (the end battle for example). But it's not better than OoT. I doubt a Zelda game ever will be for me, it was so special and right. Timing is all however, and I can imagine this being many people's favourite, and many people's not so favourite, depending on when they first came to the Zelda series.

I certainly think this is the last Zelda of its type that we'll see. Looking forward to seeing where they take it next.

can I just say...

I'm absoloutely loving this so far - 25 hours in and it's been fantastic.

Don't want to spoil anything or no need to ask anything - just like to come on and gush with just how excellent this is.

BTW... friends over last night, brought their kids - two boys, one 10 and the other 14. The got a 360 for christmas, but were desperate to see Zelda - they loved it and thought the graphics were great.

They also loved Red Steel as well btw.

Hi-def nonsense FTL!!!

Not being able to control the camera on the Wii version is one of my few minor complaints. On occasion you won't be able to re-center with Z as it will lock on to a nearby enemy or object, & there have been some times I wanted to get a better view of the environment & action.

Returning from Kakariko village to the Ordon village to get the boots, so I thought I'd enjoy a bit of goat herding. I had a quick check in the goat shed and saw the postman(!) feeding a letter to the goats. Sounds silly but it made me grin like an idiot.
