I'm at the the bit before snowpeak. I spoke to that girl and got the letter, and showed it to pretty much every zora to find out the monster is holding a fish (reekfish) that only the prince can catch, that hang around the mother and child rocks (which i assume are the rocks at the bottom of the waterfall with loads of red fish around). I didn't have a clue where the prince was though so spent ages fucking around to no avail. I checked gamefaqs and he's in the graveyard. How was i supposed to know that?

Maybe by the fact that you escorted him to Kakariko village, last saw him there, and when you go back there's a kid in the street says he does nothing but hang around the graveyard night and day? At least, that's how I remember it.

Mmm, that was a couple weeks ago so i can hardly remember. Thats the problem with not playing through it all in one go.

Now, back to some tedious rod fishing...

Just finished the second dungeon and got the bombs AND the Hylian Shield, the items are coming pretty thick and fast aren't they?

you've only got one type of bomb though :)

I'm only at the first dungeon and I'm really bored already. I've played and completed all zeldas except for WW (yet to finish) and minish cap (yet to start). Its going to be the same old Zelda formula and I think I was expecting something different with the wii controls but it just isn't gripping me. My expectations were all wrong going into playing. Damn expectations :). I'm I all Zelda'ed out I think.

I'm positive I got the Hylian Shield before the second dungeon. Seemed useless heading into that dungeon without one.

You can buy a shield from the Goron seller before you enter the mines. Is this the one you are talking about as I didnt buy it due to insuffiecient funds.

It's a really good game - but don't expect anything out of the ordinary. Some really nicely designed dungeons a bit later. Probably still the best game I've played this year.

Cheers for the wise words. I will stick at it.

I like this bit :)

In the forest temple, what seems like a mini boss, knocking that monkey off of the pillars then whacking him on the arse with the sword

It gets better once you can:

transform into the wolf and back whenever you want

I actually found that quite handy for crossing distance a tad more quickly when Epona was'nt around.

I also had a laugh going into town in the middle of the day just to watch the townspeople's (especially the guards) reactions. :)

Wolf is the much better form in the areas of extreme climate shall we say.

Oh and the town's reaction to wolf is one of the highlights :)

At long last I had some more time to put in to this last night and I've now completed the third dungeon. Although I must admit that I

had to use gamefaqs after it to do the puzzle to get the master sword.

I now plan to spend a few hours exploring before I head off to dungeon number four. :)

Ack. Fourth dungeon help please.

Arbiter's Grounds. I've got the spinner, got the boss key, but just can't work out how to get to the top level. I realise I need to make the pillar move down into the ground in the round room... but how?Edit: Use the spinner. Oops.

Edit: Nevermind, worked it out. Fucking obscure

In the room after the one with the boss key, you can use the spinner in a small gap in the centre of the room.

I always get a bit nervous before opening the door to the dungeon boss. Link is stood there right now on my telly, tapping his heels impatiently in front of the dungeon 4 boss door. Waiting to fight what I've read is possibly the best boss in the game.

Here I go! Wish me luck!

Up to dungeon 3 now and finding it all excellent stuff, really looking forward to kicking back and looking for some secrets once this dungeon is over.

I love Hyrule Town it's so full of people rushing all over the place and the cut scene in the bar was brilliant not often a game makes me lol but this one has.

How the fuck am i supposed to do the second part of the block sliding puzzle on the snowpeak dungeon?

.::: Keep the left block there. Now slide the south block to the north, move the unfrozen block to the same position so it touches the north slid block. Now push that block back to the east and 'rotate' it via the edges against the unfrozen block from the south. Repeat until a block touches the middle switch and than do it once more to get the other block back on the first switch.
