Fucking thing :(. Just got my sword and got into the forest. I found that shop with the bird in where you pay by putting your money in a box. I didn't read the sign telling me to put my money in the box and consequently got pecked to death. I opted to choose the retry option to find myself on the wrong end of that gate. I go to the house to get Epona and I find out that the horse is on the other side of the gate so I can't get past it. Now I've got to start again :(.

I heard there were game-breaking bugs but to find one this early in the game is shocking.

.::: It's rather shocking that you a] think it's a bug, and b] give up so quickly.

The only way i could see Zelda working online would be through the Four Swords franchise, or possibly limiting it to mingame faceoffs etc.

I've long held that a compilation of every single sub-boss/boss from the Zelda games would be a cool thing to have. Just being able to play any boss from any game at the touch of a button... I'd pay a lot to have that game. Maybe have it save your best times too. This would make an ideal downloadable content game, with new bosses being added periodically. You could call it Zelda: Legendary Battles, or something like that.

Just finished it about 1 minute before midnight last night. Only took me 35 hours in all. What where all you 65+ hour types doing?

I don't know how you managed that, because I almost never got stuck, and did almost non of the side quests, yet I clocked up 65 hours just to complete it.

How many heartpieces, bugs, poes, etc did you get in that time? Personally I was searching for all that stuff, fishing a lot, and exploring off the beaten track at every given opportunity.

on the way to the 5th temple...

1080 Zelda Boarding!

took me ages to work out what to do with the

reekfish

until the wife went...

why don't you sniff the scent

DOH! :(

It's definitely the best console game I played last year, but it's still massively flawed. Those Midna jumping bits, what on earth were they thinking?

I agree - it seems inconsistent... I'd rather there was just an item that gave you a super jump of some sort. For example, why can't she pull me up towers or help me scale cliffs?

Other than that, best game I've played in a good few years, possibly since tOoT to be honest... thoroughly enjoying this and can't put it down.

GOTY

btw - playing this makes me realise how much better Oblivion would be with wiimote control (oh - and some imagination, but, hey ho)

My wife figured out the

reekfish

too.

Here's me thinking I'd come across a Game Breaking Bug

I'm wondering the opposite. I've just started Dungeon 6 and I'm nearly on 60 hours. I've only been seriously stuck a couple of times and (it feels like) I've done hardly any aimless wandering.

how on earth can you get through this in 35 hours?!?!?

I've hardly done any aimless wandering, I've found a few hidden caves and heart pieces, but no where near the amount that are obviously are there. I haven't gone out of my way to find Poes (but occasionaly take a detour if I see one in the distance) and all the bugs I've caught are ones I've come across in the main quest.. and I've just started dungeon 5.

I'm near the end of the Arbiter's Grounds, and there seems to be a glitch where Link keeps walking as if he's in quicksand when he gets back on solid ground. I have to get past a slowly-closing door, too, so it looks like this could be a genuine game-breaker.

Any ideas, folks?

Yeah, obvious afterwards. I was too busy wondering why I couldn't pick it up.

I had that exact issue myself. It doesn't help when the game informs you that it will be 'logged' when you acquire it... I assumed I just had to have the 'stat' in my inventory. :(

FFS, I wish people would stop laying it on non-existant glitches. THE PAL version is polished.

You have 'ghost rats on you. Transform and use the sense to see them. A quick way to get rid of them is the wolf's spin attack.

Cheers, Harvest. Take it easy though, man. I'm not trying to be a misery guts, I just didn't have my brain switched on!

Yeah, sorry, bit snappy of me. I've just seen many people in this thread saying "I'm stuck, it must be the infamous game breaking bugs!!1" and it's got a bit tiresome, especially considering most of them are playing the (fixed) PAL version.

:(
