I love finding heart pieces, must've got about 3 yesterday...

Link is hard as nails in this game

has anyone caught all 60 poe'sand if so wha did you get, it better not be just a piece of hart

It's not a piece of heart. You get infinite money apparently, in wads of 200. Pointless then.

scottcr:

HIDDEN village! The imagination that's gone into naming these places is outstanding. :)

Can someone tell me if after you have completed the game you can carry on in the game world fishing and going back through dungeon etc or does it end?

After the final battle and conculsion you get the end credits, and after them it just goes back to the titles. When you start a game, it goes from your last save - i.e. right before then end battle, if you saved it there; obviously, you can then choose to just leave and bugger off fishing, collecting Poes, or whatever.

It's true that the easiest & simplest way to get around the whole timeline problems is just to say that each Hyrule is some kind of Parrellel dimension, where the general story & history is the same but some specifics are'nt. This just seems like a lazy way out though when you have the references in the games to previous history, such as (amongst other things) the stained glass windows in WW & Dungeon 6 in TP.

Again, what you say only makes sense if you're thinking in terms of continuity, which Nintendo aren't.

The references to previous games are just that, references to previous games. They're there to make long-time players smile, they're not mistakes in contuniuty or lazyness, just little nods to their fans.

[about the end]

Does the game go back to the title screen after 'The End' screen? I waitied for ages and nothing :o

I don't like games which don't let you save at the very end!

EDIT: and LOL for all those who are determined to make Zelda into one continuous storyline. People doing this are missing the point of Zelda, anyway. It's about the DOING (as someone already said). And shit, you're deluded if you think any zelda game has a good story, with the exception of Link's Awakening, and even then that's pushing it. The only two good 'story' elements in the series for me are: The end of Awakening - where all of the 'story' is essentially discovered at once; and the build up/defeat of Ganon in Ocarina.

Man, Ganon fucking ROCKED in Ocarina.

What difference would it make if you could save?

Not much, I just tend to find games that allow you to save at the end are designed for replayability. Zelda isn't, sadly. I found almost everything on my first play, and since I know the rewards for the other things are useless, I just can't be arsed.

However, I just picked Shinobido for the PS2 and am about to complete it for the second time; it's a game designed around experimentation, and letting you use your powerups from the start is a nice feature.

Of course, it wouldn't really work in the Zelda mechanic, but I will say this: Nintendo better fucking make the rewards better than just fucking RUPEES and RUPEES after FUCKING RUPEES next time. Really put me off exploring.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but my daughter spotted that if you hold down Z as Link, without anything targetted (he puts up his shield), then walk forward diagonally, alternating between forward-left and forward-right, Link does a brilliant salsa dance move.

Gets a laugh here every time.

I had to switch off, same as with OoT. I think they do it on purpose, something about it really being a proper "End" and making the player go away and think about what they've just played.

.::: Just wait and press a button afterwards. It'll take you back to the title-screen. Reset is not needed anyway. It doesn't save anything though.

I remember in OoT, it used to do something if you left the final screen on for ages.

Yeah, the Scarecrow tune you created starts playing, I think.

Oh, and I waited and tried to press buttons at the end of Twilight Princess, but I had to manually reset it in the end (at least, that's how it is on the GameCube version)

Again, dood, that item doesn't appear in every game. No-one's having a go, but since the most obscure details have led to people crying spoiler in this thread, perhaps you should make the alteration rather than risk diminishing someone's enjoyment?

Nope. Well, I don't really think anyone would care about the Master Sword (there, I've said it), it's in the artwork, after all, I was just pointing out his comparison was incorrect. But as for the original spoiler about a certain character's appearance, then I'm serious. It would have been considered a spoiler by loads of us a few weeks ago.

Fair enough, but I thought his appearance was pretty much shown in most places - I swear I saw him in the trailers for the game (although I could be wrong - maybe I just assume it, because he appears in most of them!)
