How many dungeons are there?

Just finished the 4th one (sandy, the Arbiters something?) and got the spinner and that sequence with Gannondorf tied to the stone was wicked, he looks a lot less stupid and ginger than he did in OOT.

9. Though some said that the last 2 were a bit short, I think they were just right. I actually missed out on a whole bunch of stuff in Dungeon 9 the first time i went through it.

The iron boots look completely different in that shot.

To be honest, while I understand that I'm watching it in a lower resolution to that screenshot, it doesn't look far off that to me when I'm playing it. In my head at least. Playing on a 36in Toshiba widescreen CRT through component.

You may also be equally happy to hear there is a princess in the game called Zelda.

Oh and there's this triforce thing, yeah?

Fuck off.

I don't think you should decide if it's a spoiler or not dood. As has been stated, some games do, some games don't, and some people like to find out for themselves.

And you certainly shouldn't be telling people to "fuck off" over it. Bad show.

What force? Tri what?

Zelda? Princess??

Well, now I don't need to play it. I know all of the secrets. You'll be telling me that the game uses some sort of unusual control method next, or that it's on a new console or something. You've ruined the very concept of games for me. I hate you.

I'm sorry. It was a bit nasty yes. But quite frankly, you shouldn't read this thread if you don't want to find out out ANYHTING about TP. And I'm sure saying I've 'ruined' the game is a bit extreme too.

In fact, I'm starting to think he was joking...

(and for fuck's sake! Ganon's in EVERY zelda game bar Awakening and Majora's mask - out of the 'real' zelda games, that is)

What force? Tri what?

You sir, are a legend.

Ok, when I have a minute I'll go back and edit.

But sheesh! If I talk about REAL spoilers, such as new items and stuff, I always use tags!

EDIT: Well, I've edited my original post now, doesnt change the fact that a million people quoted it though.

.::: Ah! There's hope for you yet!

If only I could say the same in return. Maybe when you acknowledge OoT's greatness like all other sane people

Ah fuck it, let's slot TP into my all-time favourite list shall we.

Ocarina of Time

Majora's Mask

Link's Awakening

Twilight Princess

Minish Cap

Wind Waker

Link to the Past

Oracles of Ages/Seasons

Four Swords

I barely consider Four Swords a Zelda game at all really, so it's way down there. I really should play the 1st Zelda at some point though.

You all did the dungeon ages ago probably so already know, but man, this game really picks up after the 3rd dungeon, doesn't it.

Loved the music when the 3rd one was complete, though it was nothing to the next section.

The 4th Dungeon starts off well (I loved the whole concept of

ditch Epona and ram stuff with the hog

), with the fights outside quite fun too...but when I got inside was the best.

It provided my first moment of "Err...where I go?", with a while later of "Ah, I have to do THAT. Aint I clever"

Pull the chain and make the chandelier go up, stand in the gap of it to survive when it falls back down

was the puzzle.

Really, really love the new toy. Quite a cool inclusion to Links gear.

The boss of the place is fantastically fun, with the cut scene after him really quite good.

So far my counter says 40 hours...whilst I've explored a bit, I think that timer is down to me being rubbish nowadays at games. Got the Cube version from Tronix a few days before Xmas...I blame the evil WoW (Which I no longer have an account for) on me dying lots and generally being a bit rubbish.

Only real gripe is the ruppee's. It's been a little annoying getting stuck, only to travel to a chest to open it and find...ruppees. Having a full wallet means they can't be collected, so the chest remains on the map. Was most apparent in dungeon 3 which I did on and off over New Year, forgetting every time which chest I'd been too. Which leads me onto my question:

-Is there any real way of spending/ preserving the ruppees? I have an upgraded wallet, and have done the mini quest in the main town to donate. Short of spending the stuff on bombs and wasting said explosives for shits and giggles, or maybe endless fortune readings, is there out else I can do with the cash?

I didn't say you'd ruined the game. Up until now I was under the impression that 'Zant' was the main villain. Yes, I fully expected Ganondorf to appear at some point, but it would've been better if I'd found that for myself. And why can't we be civil to one another, so much hate. Hate leads to the dark side don't you know.

Edit - gah I've posted a spoiler myself now. Made the text white, how do I do spoilers?

There are a couple of things to spend the money on, and one other use for 'em, but generally, as with most Zeldas, the whole Rupee thing is just rubbish.

Funnily enough on messing around in Kariko (trying to work out how to help the Goron with the spring water without reading the earlier spoiler) I've just seen a nice money sink in the form of a donation fund. The Malo Mart the main other use you alluded to? Kinda hoping it's not...

think of the rupees as collectibles of which you need enough of to open certain parts of the game...

like, 2000 tri-force pieces.

It suddenly looks ok now!
