Oh man:

That kinda stuff takes balls. The poetry was ace - "My heart is in my stomach, it has broken into twelfths" ;)

Will be checking out their other episodes this week. He's an incredible actor - I think George Michael's acting is the best in Arrested, but hope he doesn't turn out to be a one trick pony.

I wasn't much of a fan of the British stuff either. You've got another three episodes or so of that (which is still better than most stuff out there) before it gets balls out brilliant again.

As for Michael Cera, I agree that his acting was often the best of the lot. The little bit of business he does with the drink straw in the first ever episode is still one of my favourite Arrested Development moments. His delivery at times was just amazing too – I'm thinking specifically here of "Great! I was hoping he'd be gifted sexually".

I love that 'stand up' video, and agree with the sentiment that it takes huge balls to get up and do something like that. Manky: yes, it's purposefully jarring.

I thought that was excellent for just an amateur bit. The first time they did stand up with that normal jokes thing was shit, though. It's good that's they've come along since then.

Yeah, I didn't think too much of the first stand up thing either. As you say, it seems like they've come on a fair bit. The official stuff at the Clark and Michael website seemed weak in many places at first too, but I reckon it's got the potential to get really good once they hit their stride.

All of them, but it doesn't really matter which order you watch them in.

The first and second series come together and the other two were separate releases.

I watched the first season a while ago and it was mostly rubbish. Sketches like those have made me rethink it. Either I wasn't watching properly or it got tons better after the first.

And sceneeeeeeeee... NO!

Me and t'missus have just finished the first disc of A.D. series 3. I agree that the British stuff, while amusing at first, really began to grate - I just felt the show wasn't focussing on its greatest assets - the central characters.

Anyway, there have been some utterly brilliant bits so far:

Bob Loblaw - the name alone had us in fits

The Volvo/vulva bit

The bit where everyone's doing their own chicken impressions - "Has anyone in this family actually seen a chicken?"

The jet pack

And many other bits I can't remember right now.

Only seven episodes to go

Yeah, I've watched a couple more now. I laughed a bit, but it's not particularly brilliant. The Clark guy is fairly weak too.

The delivery of that line is perfect. I have a days holiday tomorrow and will probably end up watching the rest of the series.

God, yes - stunningly brilliant. Tobias hasn't been given quite the airtime in this series so far, and he's largely been in a wheelchair, so less of his excellent physical comedy.

Ah yes. Graft vs Host.

I think that was when it peaked. For the second time. The first peak was:

Yeah, when his five o'clock shadow started showing, and his singing became really fatigued due to the amount of housework he'd been doing, it was just excellent.
